If the King was coming, what song would you sing? What song would you play as His anthem as He marched in?

The JOY of God’s kingdom is not a fleeting emotion, but a sense in our souls produced by the Holy Spirit as He causes us to see and recognize the beauty of Christ in God’s Word and in the world around us.

Of all the announcements that you made in your life, what was your most favorite, life-changing announcement? Pick of a college, marriage or perhaps the birth of a child?  What about this announcement: A GOOD King is coming!

In the founding of our country, the United States broke away from the British monarchy and were determined NOT to follow their model for our new government. But in our own individual lives, WE NEED A KING.

In this podcast, let’s look at Matthew 9 to see that one of the most important actions compassion calls us to is prayer. Nothing of eternal significance happens apart from prayer.

This podcast looks at a story in which Jesus has compassion not just with a child, but to that child's parent as well. As with many stories in the Gospels, this is a rather extreme and fantastic story. Follow along in Mark 9:14-32 ESV. Let's listen.

Ministry to the poor can be overwhelming if our focus is only on the resources of this world and not on the resources of God’s kingdom…which are completely UNLIMITED.

Because of the pandemic locally and globally, we have more people in poverty.  In this on-going season of shelter in place…social distancing…God is renewing His call to HANDS-ON COMPASSION…EVEN ON A BAD DAY.

Tuning in to the voice of God is ultimately about growing in the intimate relationship He desires with all of us.  The question isn't "Does God still speak today?" The question is " Are we listening?"

God is present and communicating all around us. Any interaction with God is going to be fraught with mystery. And today's sermon is full of mystery so let's listen.
