Peace at Christmas. With all the hustle going on, getting ready for that special time of the year, how does one have peace. Who can give us that peace?

The Story of Jesus' birth is filled with examples of God joining together with everyday people to bring His Son. Jesus to earth. Today through the Holy Spirit, God continues to give HOPE to everyday people in surprising and life-changing ways.

Paul tells us to remember those that are poor, be they poor financially or poor in spirit. When we find ourselves poor in spirit, the Gospel can become our hope. Listen as a couple tells their story of God's unrelenting love.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Galatians 2:10 that we should remember the poor. Listen to a husband and wife team who have taken the love and compassion of Christ to the poor.

Jesus calls us to serve the ONE...the one we encounter on our drive to work...the one we know at school who doesn't have anything to eat...the one who just got their electricity shut off...the one who ends up at a food pantry.

The POOR ARE THE VERY FIRST ONES MENTIONED in Jesus’ mission declaration! Jesus told us: "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Are you up for the mission?

We wrap up the series on prayer with the forceful and dramatic reminder from Jesus Himself that His church is meant to be, first and foremost, A HOUSE OF PRAYER.

To really want to please God, one has to have faith. Some days our faith to doubt ratio is really strong. But other days it’s not so great. Faith is believing in and trusting in a person… Jesus!

Consider the role that thankfulness and gratitude should play in our life of prayer and worship. Is gratitude and thankfulness something that is INNATE in each individual? Or is gratitude and thankfulness something each of us needs to CULTIVATE?

God invites us to PRAY…to TALK to Him and LISTEN to Him at ALL TIMES…ESPECIALLY when we find ourselves dealing with SHAME. Shame is defined as a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.
