Sin is unavoidable. But we can repent and be forgiven by God. God is gracious and wants to forgive you for your sins. We need to stop rationalizing our sins and call it what it is and bring it before God. He will always forgive us.

"Happiness can never be obtained by directly aiming at it" -CS Lewis. If we focus all of our efforts on being happy, we will never reach it. We gain happiness by following God's plan for us. We can only gain happiness by aiming at doing what is right.

This weekend's sermon is on watching our tongue as wee speak. It is something we don't think of as much as other sins. The tongue is a powerful tool that can bring words of life, but can also cause us, and others to stumble.

God created everyone equally. He does not pick favorites, and neither should we. Picking favorites contradicts our faith and the law of love.

This sermon is on listening to God's word, and doing it. It's one thing to listen to the Bible, but the next part is acting out what the book says. People say they love what the Bible says, but they don't do what it says.

How do we know we are saved? Trusting in God is important. God will test us with trials along our life. We need to push through and keep going when these trials come our way. Don't fall into the temptation of giving up.
