Do you remember that person, mentor, friend, employer who saw something in you and said “yes” to your dream and passions? Behind every famous, influential person is someone who chose to say “yes” and invest in their lives. How can we continue that legacy by seeing potential in the people around us?

Now the word “faithfulness” can mean a lot of things. People can be faithful to some THING like a job, a country, an organization, or a cause. Faithfulness to some thing can make a difference in this world, but faithfulness to people calls us to make a consistent choice to go deeper, do hard things, and make sacrifices. It is inconvenient and messy, but in our faithfulness we reflect Jesus and grow closer to him.

People today desperately need the help we can give them. Marriages are shattered. Children are at risk. Individuals are living lives of quiet desperation without purpose. Have you discovered your limits? Have you come face-to-face with the limits on your ability to help yourself or help or fix someone you love? We need someone bigger than us! We need someone stronger than us. We need someone wiser than us. In those moments, we need to ask God to release his power. Prayer releases God’s power into our lives!
