Pastor Greg continues the story of Elijah's journey. This week he talks about the great showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. God shows up in a powerful way, proving to Israel once again that He is the one true God, calling Israel to turn their hearts back to Him.

The only true fix is the spirit of God being planted in our lives. We learn from Elijah that a life dedicated to God requires continual obedience, in every season, not just momentary obedience.

Elijah's previous season of provision and preparation in the "cut off place" has come to an end; God moves him in to a new season of provision in enemy territory. We learn that the trajectory of our lives depends on how we respond to what God is speaking to us. Will we be obedient and step in to the place and purpose God has for us?

Our new Senior Pastor Greg Hartmann begins his new series about Elijah, a man from an unknown place with an unknown background, that God used in a powerful way. He explains how God can use US in powerful ways if we just say "yes" to Him, but we have to be willing to go to the "cut off" place where we disconnect from the world and all its noise and distractions and be willing to spend time with God to hear His voice.

This week the Double Take crew gets to know each other a little better and talk about what we're supposed to do when we encounter God.

Curt Bartlett wraps up this series and talks about entering into God's presence. He describes the "thin places" where heaven meets earth and how we can experience God's presence there. When we sin, he encourages us to run to God instead of hide from Him, because God will always show us His mercy and grace when we draw near to Him.
