This chat was with Karen Manners Smith who co edited the book, Time it was American Stories from the 60s. With Tim Koster and she mentions how she was in a cult which ended up in London. How she wrote about Zoharah Simmons, Jade Huynh and her brother who was in the Peace corp in Kenya.
Karen introduces herself: Karen Manners Smith professionally. Most of the time just plain Karen Smith. I am a retired professor of history and spent most of my teaching career in Kansas, though I have also taught college students here in my home state of Massachusetts. In addition to the book on the 1960s that I co-edited with Tim Koster, I have published books and articles on American women, American writers, and general history. I have spent quite a bit of time in England and Ireland, but also lived all over the United States and spent a year in East Africa.
