Formed in early 1973 after sessions work with Van Morrison, Beaver & Krause and Herbie Hancock After a stint with Edgar Winter he formed Montrose with Sam Hagar, Bill Church and Denny Carrmassi. Not a big sensation out of the gate in decades it would make platinum. One of Blobs Favorites, we hope you see the beauty.

  • Episode 106: Billy Joel / An Innocent Man
This being the ninth studio album from such a music icon it pays homage to his early influences from the 50's and 60's. Released in 1983 this was again a hit for his fans. We certainly found it light and crisp with all the trademark vocal sounds of a true vocalist.

  • Episode 102 : The Cars / The Cars (S/1)
Here is the debut album from The Cars. Although it is billed as a new wave group it has a sound that the Blob felt was more rock than that. Ric Ocasek and the boys produced a sound that saw the album remain on the charts for 139 weeks. Give a listen and let the good times roll!

  • Episode 101: RHCP / The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
This album will go to the island with the Blob as he enjoys their funky sounds from their earliest days. This is their third studio album but the first to feature all four original members. Although less commercially successful than the following album, Mothers Milk, this album displayed the sounds associated with the original lineup and, in Blobs opinion, provides the basis for their continued success today. The Blob hopes you enjoy. He is sure you will like it more than his eminence. Have fun. Side one is on the request show #2.
