  • Episode 97: The Band / The Last Waltz
    Recorded Thanksgiving Day 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Billed as the final show for this tremendous group it was who's who of the rock scene at the time. Guests like Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, and Neil Diamond joined the festivities. Also filmed, the show became a documentary released in 1978 by famed filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Give it a listen and if you want to see what some hail as the best music documentary give it a view.   • Episode 96: Def Leppard / Pyromania
    This album can be seen as a transitional one between the heavy metal sound of their first two albums and the beginning of the radio-friendly direction of later releases. The album featured heavy metal rockers such as "Rock! Rock! til you Drop", "Stagefright" and "Die Hard the Hunter" as well as Top-40 hits "Photograph", "Rock of Ages" and "Foolin'. This album found mainstream success upon its release in 1983.   • Episode 95: Foreigner / Head Games
    Released on 10 September 1979 by Atlantic Records at Atlantic Studios in New York, with additional recording and whole mixing taking place at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles this album. Climbing to number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and receiving a Platinum certification four months after it hit the stores. Due in large part to the single Dirty White Boy this album produced a number of hits. So don't let this be a foreign album any longer.

  • Episode 90: Prince / 1999
    1999 was released in 1982. Princes fifth release but the first with The Revolution. 1999 was his breakout album scoring some commercial success with Little Red Corvette reaching #6 on the top 100. The title track 1999 reached #41 covering political anti-nuclear sentiments about proliferation at the time. This album preceeded Purple Rain. Give this a good listen as you will certainly hear what was to come from the talented and sexy Minnesotan.
