  • Episode 17: Vic Trigger / Electronic Wizard
Today's episode comes to you fom the archives of the Blob. This band was a favorite local Bay Area performer that he experienced several times. Although this group may/should have risen to great heights, they vanished without much fanfare. This album is the only one ever released by the band. The Blob hopes you enjoy listening as much as he enjoyed presenting it. And if by chance you own this album, you may want to check its value.

  • Episode 15: Mahavishnu Orchestra / Birds of Fire
Todays selection is brought to you from the Blob's archives. This is jazz-fusion from the mind of John McLaughlin. Although rock oriented, this album is seriously jazz influenced. Appearing musically disjointed, the intensity is strangely comforting. This unique style of arrangements could change so drastically that you might hit your head on the glass during a turn. This was one of Blob's favorites. Put on some headphones, grab your favorite beverage, lay back and be amazed.

  • Episode 14: Depeche Mode / Some Great Reward
Kingcow has brought Depeche Mode to the show today. An early 1980's UK group that was part of the "new wave" style of music. Although they used traditional instrumentation on their previous releases,  they soon began to incorporate synthesizers into the mix. This album relects the change to all synthetic compositions and a move into the electronic dance scene.
Fancy a listen to this fine release from Depeche Mode and be entertained.

  • Episode 13: Robin Trower / Victims of the Fury
Episode 13 features the seventh studio album of the classic Trower, Lordan and Dewar lineup. This 1980 release features the passionate guitarwork from legendary UK artist Robin Trower. His unique ability to make his guitar another vocalist creates special harmonies with the ever solid James DeWar on lead vocals and bass. Hope you all enjoy side one of "Victims of the Fury".

  • Episode 12: Dazz Band / Joystick
Originally developed out of a jazz fusion sound,  Dazz Band transformed  into a classy funk and R&B sound that blended the distinct sound of jazz and funk into what was then termed "danceable jazz". This 1983 release proved the moniker accurate as their sound became highly played in the dance clubs in the early 80's.

  • Episode 11: April Wine / First Glance
The Blob has chosen the 1979 release, First Glance, from Canadian rockers April Wine. This was the bands seventh album, but the first to have a major impact in the US. A crisp and driving sound sure to provide a unique listening experience.

  • Episode 9: Pink Floyd / Animals
For your listening pleasure we have side 2 of Pink Floyd's 1977 release, Animals. A great socio-political critique of the UK structure. This is one of my favorite albums from Pink Floyd. Incredible sounds and unique lyrics.
