Are you Gifted or Hard Working - Live Monday Motivation - 05/17/21
In our next JasSuccess interview, you’re gonna meet Marites.
She’s part of our content creation team.
She’s a former OFW who chose to go back here for good.
Why?
Because just like most of us, she wanted to be liberated from the routine life of a corporate employee.
And I believe she made the right choice.
This wordsmith is now a successful freelancer.
-Working with who she wants to work with.
-Having the freedom to set her own working hours.
How did she do it?
Where did she transition from employee life to freelancing?
What are the challenges she encountered?
Where did she find her clients?
Find out on Wednesday, May 12 at 6:30 pm.
Mama. Nanay. Mom. Inay. Mudra.
Whichever name you call your mother, they absolutely deserve a special treat.
Especially this Mother’s Day.
With the love and sacrifices a mother does, this is something that should be celebrated all year round.
Don’t you think?
And to give honor to one of the most important persons in our life...
We’ll be dedicating our FLIP Chat & Chill to our mothers.
Join us as we share "Easy And In-Demand Online Jobs for Busy Mommies."
Save the date: May 10, Monday at 6pm.
This is gonna be fun!
Data entry.
Article writing.
Online teaching.
These are just some of the entry-level jobs that are usually advised for newbies in freelancing.
Giving them a taste of what it really is.
HOWEVER...
What if you’re already experienced?
What if you’ve been freelancing for years now?
Is it still okay to accept entry-level jobs like these?
"When I became a mom, going back to corporate was no longer an option." - Dina
I’m super excited for this JasSuccess episode.
We have Dina as our guest.
She’s a former telemarketer and lead generation specialist who came across VA Bootcamp’s Website 101 Course years ago.
That opened her eyes to the bigger world of online freelancing.
And she’s now making Php1 million a month as a freelancer.
No wonder she’s one of the Lodis being looked up to these days.
So this Monday, we’ll talk about personal finance in our FLIP Chat & Chill.
And I can’t stress enough how important it is to manage our finances well.
Or else...
You end up living from paycheck to paycheck.
Just like what Janina did.
Her husband was a wonderful provider.
"It was enough for our needs, but we weren’t saving anything. Medical emergencies are a no-no because that’s out of our budget.
When it does happen, I had to pawn my engagement ring. I did that a couple of times."
But everything changed when she transitioned into freelancing.
Thanks to her sister who gave her an old laptop which allowed her to pursue writing.
So how did she able to stop the feast-and-famine cycle?
How did freelancing impact her finances?
What’s her strategy in getting clients?
Remember this.
As a freelancer, you’re also a business owner.
And it’s in your personal freelance CEO job description to manage your finances WITHOUT excuses.
You likely earn vastly different amounts from month to month depending on the number of jobs that come your way.
Accept the slower months as inevitable and plan for those times by getting a realistic sense of your average income.
Makes sense?
And if it’d help, track your spending.
It gives you an idea of your spending habits and can highlight areas of waste in both your business and personal spending, as well as help you decide how much you can spend each month.
Positive thinking is contagious let us begin it with ourselves and spread it to others.
I’d like you to meet Jenalyn.
She’s a former account officer.
But chose to become a freelancer.
For 5 reasons:
- I can earn money at the comfort of my home
- I can work on whoever I want or I can choose the person I want to work with.
- I can have my own time and never pleases anybody
- Less stress, no 4 hours of travel back and forth,
- I believe that I can give more, and it helps me to discover who am I truly was.
Relate much?
But after 1 year of freelancing...
Was she able to accomplish all these?
How did she find her first client?
What are her challenges as she move from corporate to freelancing?
Find out this Wednesday, April 21 at 3:30pm.
As cliche as it may sound but...
Health is wealth.
Agree?
Especially these days.
It’s important that we prioritize not just our career and finances, but our well-being as well.
Just think about it.
How can you enjoy the wealth you generate if you’re health is suffering?
So this Monday, April 19, in another fun episode of FLIP Chat & Chill at 6 pm, we’ll talk about "How Successful Freelancers Stay Healthy and Happy."
