Used hearing devices are made specifically for the patient it was made for. Most of the time they wouldn't be able to fit on you.

Christopher goes over Medicare and how to get your hearing aid devices. 

 

Regular Medicare doesn't cover hearing aid benefits however the Medical plus benefit plans such as:

1. Caremore: Gives $500 per ear towards 

2. Anthem BlueCross (by itself): They pay up to $3,000 for your hearing aids.

3. HealthNet: Gives up to $1,500

4. Alignment: Gives up to $500-$1,000 

 

Christopher also talks about Hearing Care Solutions which is a 3rd party and works with small practices. Virtue Hearing Aid Center is a recommended hearing aid dispenser for Los Angeles.

Hearing Amplifiers used for recreational use, bird watching, watching movies etc. All sounds are amplified to hear them better but it's not to be confused with hearing aids.

 

Hearing aids are prescribed to each person and based on their hearing levels so that they only get amplification in the areas they need them in. 

Hearing aids can only be dispensed by audiologist and hearing aid dispensers. We do not recommend getting used hearing aids because it's not being prescribed for your hearing loss.
