First broadcast on FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL at 19:00 on November 7th 2021
Internet artist and archive television fan ANDREW-MARK THOMPSON returns to guide us through the paper archives of the late actor IAN FAIRBAIRN (1931 - 2014) which he was given by the actor himself after they met when Andrew was working on the TIMESLIP website back in the day. IAN's surviving scripts and other documents give a fascinating insight into the television working life of a jobbing actor from playing bit parts for directors who would employ their "regulars" like DOUGLAS CAMFIELD and JOHN COOPER, to acting as a stand-in in rehearsals, to being the lead villain in a children's TV serial. Across a long career, IAN also made appearances in EMERGENCY WARD TEN, SERGEANT CORK, DOCTOR WHO, THE LOTUS EATERS, and VAN DER VALK.
PLEASE NOTE - For Copyright reasons, musical content sometimes has to be removed for the podcast edition. All the spoken word content remains (mostly) as it was in the broadcast version. Hopefully this won't spoil your enjoyment of the show.
