One of the biggest door openers for missionaries is learning to identify with the national in things that are important to them. Independence day is one example of a way that we as Americans can celebrate alongside other nationalities as they celebrate the independence of their own country. Listen as Jason and Gary talk about unique gospel opportunities through the celebration of national holidays. They also address things that we as American's should be cautious about as to not harm the advancement of the gospel. Probably one of the biggest faith hurdles when stepping out into missionary work is entrusting your health to the Lord. Illnesses like dengue and malaria very serious and cannot necessarily be prevented. There are many other serious illnesses that can potentially kill you when you step on foreign soil. When you step outside of the United States you face a whole different world of healthcare and illness. God knows how to orchestrate our steps and provide exactly what we need when we need it. Listen to Gary share his story about a serious health scare that could have claimed his life. Thankfully, God had everything taken care of and miraculously provided the right people in the right places at the right time. We are God's creation and He is the ultimate authority and there is no illness or situation that can claim our life without God's permission. Gary's story is testimony to God's provision and protection!

One of the tremendous opportunities that have been placed in the hands of the DR Vision ministry is the Las Palmas Christian School. Las Palmas is a beacon in the community offering top-notch education with a biblical world view. This episode will have you laughing and crying at the same time. Jason's brother-in-law, Ben Sinclair, and family are missionaries to Cameroon, Africa. Due to the tragic loss of a co-worker, Ben and his family had to flee Cameroon due to the political unrest. After years and years of investment in the city of Bamenda, their lives changed through the sound of a gunshot and the tragic loss of a dear coworker. Listen as Ben candidly opens his heart to how God worked in and through him. Ben and his family are not done in Cameroon. Shortly, they will be returning to another region of the country to share the gospel of Jesus Christ!
