As we wash someone’s feet we expose the heart of Jesus within but it must be done with a spirit of humility and grace. Jesus knelt and washed the feet of his disciples to give us a model of servanthood.

By being the “Light of the World” we reveal the truth of Jesus life within. This light filled lifestyle we live can not be hidden from others because Jesus commands us to be the light of good news and drawing them into a relationship with Him. Being light is not something weird or obnoxious it’s something that needs to be natural.

This week we will expose who the Holy Spirit is. The Spirit is not an it, but God himself. We come to the conversation with a suitcase full of ideas and misconceptions about the Holy Spirit, so we are going to open that case, take out each misconception and dive into the scriptures to accurately understand the Holy Spirit and his role in our lives.

Very few people plan to destroy their lives with a moral failure. Nobody plans to have an affair, become addicted to pornography, or lose their job because of compromise. There are things we can do to create moral margin. James talks about our internal temptation that drags us away. The writer of Hebrews says that we are to untangle ourselves from the things that so easily trip us up.
