NFU Talk

VLOG | Food Strategy, bTB, Water, and Farm Safety

Listen Later

In this edition of the vlog, NFU President Tom Bradshaw recalls some of the highlights from last week’s Great Yorkshire Show, where we collected over 600 letters to be sent to MPs in support of our Stop the Family Farm Tax campaign. Use our letter writing tool and provide your story here: Turning your words into personal letters for your MP.

Tom also gives his take on the government’s recently published food strategy, and talks about Food Security Minister Daniel Zeichner’s visit to Gatcombe Farm in Devon, which has been involved in a project to tackle bTB (bovine tuberculosis).

In addition, NFU Vice-president Rachel Hallos updates on a meeting she had with the National Drought Group and the work the NFU is doing to get members access to water.

Plus, NFU Deputy President David Exwood looks forward to next week’s Farm Safety Week.
