VOC Nation Wrestling Network

Coming your way LIVE every Monday night shortly after Raw goes off the air, The Late Shift provides an immediate, opinionated recap and occasionally controversial grade of the show. Your host, Steven Bell, has 15 years experience as a Lords of Pain contributor as well as 30+ years of fandom, so you can expect plenty of opinions, frustration when warranted, excitement when applicable and maybe the occasional rant or two..

Most of all, though, expect unrepentant fandom. This isn't a show for "experts" or so-called "insiders". Presented BY a fan, FOR fans, this isn't a show where you'll be told what to think. It is, however, a show where you'll be encouraged to think for yourself, even if it means disagreeing with any and everything that comes through Steven's microphone.

Follow Steven on Twitter @StevenFnBell to follow along LIVE and express your opinions about any or everything that he's got to say. It's all about the fans' perspective here on The Late Shift with Steven Bell.

The Late Shift with Steven Bell is presented uncensored and contains adult language. The views, verbiage and opinions expressed in no way represent those of Lords of Pain. Lords of Pain Radio, BlogTalk Radio or any of their respective advertisers. Listener discretion is advised.

ECWA Boss' Chair

Randy Savage is the subject of focus in tonght's episode. He has been a part of many things in his life even drafted out of high school by the St. Louis Cardinals as a catcher. When baseball went south he turned to pro wrestling where his father had made a name for himself. Savage has feuded with many greats over the years with the Hulk Hogan feud being the most well known but people say his best match was with Ricky Steamboat in Wrestlemania 3. From WWF/WWE to WCW & The NWO, what was your favorite Randy Savage memory?

The VOC Nation Radio Network traces its roots back to 2009 in suburban Philadelphia.  Bruce Wirt took over the afternoon shift on the Voice America Health and Wellness Network and proclaimed himself, “your new ‘Voice of Choice’ in afternoon radio.”  The V-O-C in VOC Nation was born.

Over the next 3 years, Wirt took his act to Philadelphia radio, eventually settling in at independently owned WNJC 1360AM.  The VOC Nation Radio Network spun away from WNJC in October 2012 and took to the “cloud”, using their solid fan base to instantly become one of the most listened to mediums on the Internet.  In 2014, VOC Nation merged with Brady Hicks' IN THE ROOM Internet Radio Network, giving the combined medium over 50,000 monthly listeners.

VOC Nation Radio streams live programming 7 days a week, and has forged partnerships with BlogTalkRadio, Stitcher Internet Radio, Podomatic, iTunes, and GoDaddy to bring daily live entertainment and downloadable podcasts to listeners worldwide.  VOC Nation has over 100,000 twitter followers and has consistently ranked in the top 1% of downloadable podcasts as ranked by Podomatic, and in the top 5% of live streaming programming as ranked by Stitcher Internet Radio.

This week, Pro Wrestling Illustrated Contributing Writer Brady Hicks – along with DJ and Anthony Sarlo – are joined IN THE ROOM by former WWE and TNA star “Tenacious Z” Zach Gowen. What went through this one-legged wonder’s mind when, at 20 years old, he was thrown into a program with Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Vince McMahon, and Brock Lesnar? How has Zach been able to stave off injuries over the years despite wrestling with such a big handicap? And what are Zach’s thoughts on WWE today? Plus, Brady and the gang break down WWE Money In The Bank as the company continues to build up tremendous steam.

TBH.com is proud to announce The Book Club with Big and Tull. “Big” Jeff Malinoski and Brandon Tull are Brady’s former ECWA broadcast colleagues, as well as very good friends of IN THE ROOM and the site. Jeff is currently an owner in the ECWA, while Brandon has worked in audio and video production, behind the scenes, for years. His voice is now heard on 94.7 WDSD FM out of Delaware.

Make sure also to follow Big (facebook.com/jeff.malinoski.9) and Tull (facebook.com/coolbrandon) on Facebook. Tull is also on Twitter (@BrandonTull).

Jason from Kissimmee, FL asks:

What’s the best movie and dinner combo for a date? Any time frame is game.

Special note about today’s episode: Jay V got the movies wrong. It is Masters of the Universe that’s not on Netflix. However, it is on Qwikster.
