Chatham Baroque's Scott Pauley stopped by WQED-FM to talk to Anna Singer about their "Art of the Trio" concerts taking place this weekend.

Pianist Dr. Nanette Kaplan Solomon, Professor Emerita from Slippery Rock University, discusses with Jim Cunningham her Chatham University Friday Afternoon Musicale Recital which debuts Friday November 19th at 4 pm on the Chatham Youtube Channel. She plays in the WQED-FM studio a preview of a new piece by her Yale colleague Stefania de Kenessey-- Spontaneous D Combustion. The concert also includes a baroque rarity, Chopin, a Schubert Sonata, and a Scarlatti Sonata. It’s available indefinitely if you miss the event on Friday. Nanette also has the lowdown on the upcoming Tuesday Musical Club events which she also participates in.

Resonance Works Conductor Maria Sensi Sellner joins former Pittsburgh Symphony Principal double bass and soloist Jeffrey Turner in their return to in-person performances at the Greer Cabaret Theater downtown Pittsburgh November 13th and 14th with some of the hottest and brightest lights on the scene today - Missy Mazzoli with Jeff in the spotlight, Gabriela Lena Frank, Jessie Montgomery and Chen Yi.  Maria has the deep dive into the composers world and Jeff describes his work at Indiana University, the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at the Townsend School of Music, and his recent recordings including Mozart concertos for Nonesuch with Jeremy Denk. Also, why he has returned to his colleagues at Heinz Hall this season and when we might hear him again.  This conversation with Jim Cunningham took place in the Green Room at Heinz Hall.

Composer and keyboard artist, Janet Stivanson, talks about her life in music since graduation from Carnegie Tech and the long service she has given to South Avenue Methodist Church in Wilkinsburg. Janet has organized the Composer's Workshop with her music and her colleagues for Tuesday Musical Club November 9th at 1pm at Rodef Shalom Temple and on line from Youtube.
