On Wednesday July 8th, CMU alumnus Keith Lockhart conducted the Brevard Festival Chamber Orchestra in Reza Vali's "The Ancient Call (Calligraphy No. 13)." The piece features Neil Berntsen — a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony's trumpet section — performing on a microtonal trumpet.
