Pittsburgh's Trio Nova Mundi performs music by mostly American composers in its local debut. Pianist and writer Patricia Prattis Jennings spent more than 40 years with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, serving as Principal Keyboard Artist. She was the first African-American woman to join the PSO, and she edited the periodical "Symphonium," about and for African-American symphony members, as a sideline. Ms. Jennings has published an anthology of essays about the changes she has witnessed titled "In One Era and Out the Other," and she shares a few insights with QED's Jim Cunningham.
