This 14th episode of Voices in Miami features Lena Kalandjian, who serves on the National Youth Advisory Board of the non-profit violence prevention organization Sandy Hook Promise. Listen to her talk about her advocacy in the same of SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions, and Inclusive Societies) through her work representing and sustaining over 3,500 Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Clubs. Lena works with eleven other youth changemakers to help design curricula, call-to-action programs, and youth empowerment resources for students across the United States. Throughout these endeavors, Lena has had opportunities to collaborate with the Biden Harris Presidential Transition Team, TIME Magazine, and the National Center for School Safety at the University of Michigan in order to elevate youth voices and facilitate intergenerational understanding.
