This first episode is about a young lady called Zoe, her story, to say the least, is a truly remarkable story about how she faced and overcame a life-changing event that affected her mentally, physically and emotionally all at once. Her story shows how she found solace in her darkest of times.

This month’s States of Matter keeps rhythm with a doomsday clock that refuses to halt. Conjuring the spirit of frenetic disinformation, system collapse and sonic disorientation, this is a sound collage for the fractured 21st century.

Hailing from south London via Somerset, 3-year night time dj Huwie brings in the start of each month with sets of the latest techno / electronic music with a sprinkle of disco and camp, queer classics. Flipping between day time disco and high-energy heavy techno, the aim is to keep it a fun-filled hour.

Ease into another year of Dystopia Euphoria with a low-slung breaksy mix from the butcher bird this month. Featuringa couple of old favourites, some newer beefy bits, and a great rework of Puretone’s eternal classic Totally Addicted to Bass to start, this mix is low and slinky, then meaty and crunchy, before closing with some dubby, sugared depth.

Tendai returns to Voices with an hour of soulful drum ‘n’ bass pressure with a mix of past, present and future selections from the likes of Calibre, DJ Marky, S.P.Y, Tali, DRS, Pyxis and more.

Excited to kick off this year with a two hour show and will beam from the Voices antenna every other month from now on. Two hours has always been a much sweeter spot for me to do, and I much enjoy having the space to drift from moods to textures and go at my own pace.

First hour largely hovers at 120 bpm, floating through some dub tech-y pleasures, second hour cranks it up a bit more. Have included one of my own tracks towards the end that I’m enjoying listening back to.
