Off-centre takes a sideways step into club music and seeks out all sounds hard, wonky and wonderful. This month we’re crashing into the festive season with an hour of crunchy, loud and distorted club sounds. An antidote to yer jingle bells.

To close out 2025, I’ve compiled a selection of my favourite house tracks I’ve been dropping throughout the year. This mix brings together the sounds that have defined my sets over the past twelve months, capturing the energy and atmosphere of dancefloors and radio shows alike. Spanning acid-tinged cuts, progressive builds and techy, groove-driven tracks, the selection is tied together by uplifting energy and forward momentum. Every track has earned its place through time behind the decks — from peak-time moments to deeper grooves that keep the floor moving. 2025 has been an incredible year of gigs, radio shows and good times, and this mix is a celebration of it all. Top 10-uous is a collaborative playlist series from Dan Dunbar, music supervisor and co-founder of independent music consultancy The Sync Agency. On the monthly show, Dan kicks off with a track, a guest adds one in response and describes the tenuous link, then on it goes back and forth for 10 tracks.

Final episode of First Ray this year features Riga-based DJ Freiya March, known for peak-time, driving techno rooted in the raw energy of 90s electronic music. Her sets are built on funky basslines, loopy rhythms, and hypnotic melodies that prioritise groove and momentum. Having played across the Baltics at platforms like Klik Klak, Phenomenon, and Telpa, she closes the year with a focused, floor-driven statement.

Rachel Jazz is a Leeds-based DJ and co-founder of “The Pleasuredome Must

Be Built!”, a fundraiser to open a new, dedicated, queer events space and

nightclub in the city. In addition, she runs a mix series called “Boing!”

showcasing a range of DJs and lesser-heard genres at Outlaws Yacht Club in

Leeds.

A keen record collector, her tastes cover a wide variety of styles from

underground disco, jazz fusion, deep house, psychedelic downtempo, dub

reggae, and more. This mix however is a selection of some of her techier,

deeper records paying tribute to some of her early inspirations such as John

Digweed and Jane Fitz.

DJ Sweed is a Bangkok-based DJ, musician, and composer known for immersive, experimental sets that fuse heavy, driving percussion with hypnotic, trippy textures. Active in the electronic music scene since beginning his professional DJ career in 2007, he has developed a distinctive sound that bridges techno, live electronics, and forward-thinking club music.

He is currently the sound engineer and a resident DJ at Bangkok’s renowned BEAM club. Previously, he held a residency at De Commune and has performed at major events and festivals including Wonderfruit Festival, Tempology Music Festival, Diage, and Beatforest.Expanding beyond DJing, DJ Sweed has incorporated modular and hardware synthesizers into his performances, crafting dynamic live sets that emphasize improvisation and sonic exploration.

He is also the founder of YAAAS, a party series dedicated to techno and live electronic performance.In addition, he is a member of XTC, a collective of four artists active in the electronic music scene, and SUB CTRL Club.

In 2019, he performed at Griessmuehle in Berlin with the full RAZE crew for the Eclectique x RAZE event, alongside artists such as Inner 8, Pure, and Mogano.DJ Sweed has appeared as a guest on international radio platforms including Redlight Radio (Amsterdam), HÖR Berlin, and Durian Radio (Bangkok).

Most recently, he composed the music for VICKTEERUT at Bangkok International Fashion Week 2024, further showcasing his versatility across club, live, and fashion contexts.
