This month I'll be playing some more ambient, leftfield tracks that I don't often play out but am very inspired by and love listening to. Expect a mix up of genres with a common thread of ambient melodies, ethereal vocals, slow, pulsing rhythms and experimental sounds.

This episode’s State of Matter, hosted by Liam (@26l26m) is dubbed ‘Transient Nostalgia’. The 1950s and 60s marked a golden age for radio, particularly in the car dominated US. Inspired by a trip on Route 66, where radio ranges would come in and out of existence punctuated by invasive adverts and genre jumps, this episode of States of Matter tries to imagine what it would be like to grace one of these journeys.
