Tuffnotes are a collective of Selectas based in London, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences and showcasing emerging artists alongside classic and obscure records. They dig deep into a variety of genres, from UKG and Jazz to Deep House and Breaks via Jungle. The Tuffnotes philosophy revolves around exploration, open-mindedness, and an all-encompassing approach. Rooted in that Tuff vibe. Bass music with soul.

Izzy’s August mix predominantly combines techno and breaks, brings an hour of high-energy and upbeat music – perfect for the Bank Holiday Weekend. Blending a collection of both recently discovered and previously loved music, this month’s mix is energetic and glitchy. The variation of electronic music in her mixes encapsulate her sound and are also an inspiration to her production.

ESEA sisters is back in the studio ahead of East and SouthEast Asian Heritage month with poet Ethan Chua, who is sharing their poetry and music from artists in the community.

Ethan Chua is a Chinese-Filipino poet, translator, and community organiser. Their chapbook of poems, Sky Ladders, won the 2022 Frost Place chapbook competition and is published by Bull City Press.
