This month's show is in the capable hands of Pat King. After talking with Pat and listening to his latest demos, I knew I’d have to get him on. He’s no stranger to the deeper, dubbier side of things, and has conjured up an hour of just that. Serious heads down business here, strictly vinyl only too for extra flavour.

Pat King is a New York City born Producer and DJ with releases on Fade, Subtrak, Klectik Records and ran Estetika a vinyl only record label alongside Jason Patrick based out of Chicago. His production brings his eclectic approach between House and Techno.

Yoshy is a London-based DJ whose musical journey is rooted in a lifetime of digging. His passion ignited early on, shaped by exploring his father’s collection of CDs and cassettes. After a dedicated nine-year run in clubs, venues, and making a guest appearance on a music TV channel in Romania, he took a brief hiatus. Now back behind the decks, yoshy returns with a renewed mission: to keep his creative dream alive and use deep, seamless grooves to spread love, peace, and connection on the dancefloor.

Oxford’s Simple family continue their monthly show on Voices featuring residents and special guests. This month Port of Call co-founders ArchiTek (@architek_uk) and Sines of Change (@sines_of_change) present an hour of dub-informed electronic music, melding warm synths, scattered percussion and driving low-end. The mix follows their launch event in June, where locals gathered to experience dance music's more understated leftfield sounds, brought together by a shared appreciation for deep, exploratory sounds and the communal experience of a well-tuned system.

A staple of Oxford’s nightlife for the past 27 years, Simple continues to throw parties with some of the best DJs on the global circuit as well as local homegrown talent. They’ve just come to the end of their Spring/Summer season of events which featured Soul Mass Transit System Tim Reaper, Blumitsu, Wookie, Just Jane and many more. They’re quietly curating the next season kicking off in October which will continue to keep them at the forefront of the scene. There’s also a residents takeover the Library pub in Oxford on the 15th August where you’ll be able to catch Port of Call and many more - always a Summer highlight.
