Uncle Moe is the alias of Andrew Moore; DJ, Promoter and Culture Journalist who makes up one half of influential Belfast-based club night Plain Sailing.
As a DJ, Uncle Moe specialises in the genre-fluid, with no two sets ever sounding the same as he pulls from his wide range of influences; from grime, wave and garage to house, techno and breakbeat, with a strong focus on world-building, emotion and op
en-mindedness.
Uncle Moe’s co-founded club night and DJ duo Plain Sailing have been at the centre of Belfast’s underground circuit for nearly a decade, bringing international pacesetters to the city, such as Barker, D.Dan, LCY, Mor Elian, Objekt and Roza Terenzi, often for the very first time. The night has been featured in Mixmag, DJ Mag, District Magazine and Clash Magazine.
As a culture journalist, Uncle Moe has been widely praised for his strong voice in amplifying Irish artists and labels, in addition to interviews and features with some of the world’s leading underground and mainstream artists – from Wiki, Clams Casino and Manga Saint Hilaire to Pinch, Parris and Murlo – for Clash Magazine, DJ Mag, Ransom Note, Resident Advisor and District Magazine.
