Earlier this evening we had @tropicalwaste live in studio with @s_e_b_w and @thempress._ in conversation ahead of Friday’s highly anticipated 160 Unity event. In this special deep dive they explored the history of Tropical Waste over the last decade via thoughts on London’s evolving club scenes, building communities and collaborations across the pond, and connections to footwork and cutting-edge sounds. Welcome to Society Remixed, the Voices Radio show where we take a fresh spin on the most challenging issues affecting society today. This month my guest is Zareen Ali, the co-founder of Cogs AI, an autistic-led tech company building digital tools for the neurodivergent community. We talk about her late stage autism diagnosis, what you can do as a neurodivergent person to look after your mental health and as well as the science behind sound waves. Our conversation is paired with a spicy little mix. And this episode I’ve pulled together a mini blend of Zareen’s favourite stimming songs, alongside a selection of my favourite neurodivergent artist. As a fellow neurodivergent human who’s constantly trying to learn more about her brain, this is a super personal one for me.

you’re standing on a muddy field in early spring, and it’s quite wet and mushy, but the snowdrops have started pushing through and although the sun is behind a thick cloud it’s still visible, and there is a kind of gentle mist in the distance, and the great mystery of the year ahead
