Seksu is a DJ, producer, and creative, whose sets fuse classic SWANA tracks with club anthems and edits from around the globe. Their work has exploded on the London scene, landing primetime sets at Pxssypalace, Laylit, Yalla Party, and DKMB! In 2023, they founded Bledi - which platforms DJs, dancers, and drag artists of colour to provide a community safer space for the international LGBTQ SWANA community. Bledi’s ethos is to utilise music as a vector for cultivating spaces of joy and unity.

Shaefri is an Irish-Egyptian, London-based DJ, producer, and artist whose sets are rooted in joy, movement, and a light-hearted approach to the dancefloor. Blending percussive club sounds, left-field pop, and subtle Middle Eastern touches, she moves effortlessly between genres with high-energy transitions.

Basma is the host of Khartoum Arrivals on NTS Radio and the co-host of radio show and record label Hear, Sense and Feel. Basma’s sets are inspired by wedding anthems and eclectic folk of Sudan, the Sahel and the Horn of Africa, and beyond and she will be bringing this to Voices.

Habibtati is a DJ, cultural curator, and community organiser whose work spans grassroots activism, creative industries, and cultural storytelling. Drawing inspiration from their roots in Armenia, Iraq, Iran, and the wider diaspora, they craft drum-heavy sets packed with percussion, underground sounds, and unexpected gems. Known for creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and electric, they turn every set into a celebration of movement, connection, and collective joy. Habitati is one of the key members of NAFS, a platform dedicated to supporting the queer SWANA community and artists and co-founded Luys Collective, creative action collective for Armenians.

Opening the takeover is Habibti Nation founder Luma, setting the tone through sounds from West Asia and North Africa and their influence across the global electronic scene. Expect exclusive tracks, unreleased material and sample-led explorations that trace the threads connecting cultures, dancefloors and diasporas.

LINGZ is a Lebanese multi-genre DJ with a special love for bass music, spanning dubstep, bassline, footwork, jungle, old skool DNB and beyond. Formerly Sheffield-based, she co-founded the all women/non-binary collective Kiss My Bass, a movement dedicated to uniting the dancefloor and championing hardworking underground talent.

As she couldn’t make it into the studio, we will be listening to a recording of her Ground Rules Festival set on the Firmly Rooted Sound System. Hear her reflections on this: “This is the most special set I’ve played yet. A selection of generational classics, edits and remixes of sounds that raised me, woven together with the bass music that’s shaped me as a DJ. Wallah there’s something indescribable about blending it all into a story I get to share with others. In a world that so often flattens our past, present and future into headlines, numbers and grief, choosing instead to celebrate the richness, tenderness and expansiveness of our culture feels quietly radical. Our music has always remembered us, even when the world hasn’t.”

Born and raised in the Arabic speaking world, Persiajoon is a Scottish-Iranian DJ and producer whose sets will provide you with the hardest vibes this side of the mediterannean, hardcore, jungle, baile and more sprinkled with some Googosh

Persiajoon is joining us all the way from Glasgow with a mix traversing the soft and slow and hard and fast sounds they are known for.

Falamalef is joining us via Berlin with a dance guest mix comprised of breakcore, arab-latin sounds.

For the next hour, Habibti Nation hands the mic to the incomparable Tice Cin, joining Luma for a conversation.

Fresh from the release of her acclaimed novel Safe Spaces, Tice unpacks the raw emotion, surreal imagery and lived experiences that sit at the heart of her writing, before opening the door into the wider creative practice.

The conversation then dissolves into a mini mix, soundtracking the ideas behind Dream Jump, her new multidisciplinary work landing at the Southbank Centre tomorrow under Neoprene Genie. Fusing theatre, music, live art, dance and literature, the project asks a simple but powerful question: what if you could step out of a dream and carry its wisdom into the waking world?

Expect poetic productions, unreleased moments and a rare glimpse inside an artist whose work refuses to stay in one lane.
