In this episode of “Von Herzen Gern”, I’m visiting Saskia in Homer, Alaska.
Saskia’s heart beats for permaculture gardening – growing more food with less work, in harmony with nature. From her small garden, she grows all the vegetables her family needs for everyday life. With patience, curiosity, and a deep trust in natural cycles.
For Saskia, permaculture is much more than gardening. It shapes how she lives, works, and supports others. She shares her knowledge with people who want to grow their own food and find simpler, more sustainable ways of living.
In our conversation, we talk about permaculture, but also about life as a mother who homeschools her children, as a businesswoman, a passionate gardener, and a traveler – and how all of these parts can exist side by side, without needing to be separated.
We’re sitting in her warm, beautiful kitchen, with a wide open view over Kachemak Bay. A calm, honest, and inspiring conversation.
I’m very happy to share this episode with you.
If you enjoy “from the heart” and would like to support my work,
I’d be grateful for a coffee on Ko-fi ☕️
