Voter HQ Podcast

The year just got going and there is already so much that has happened. Today we're recapping some of the political events going on currently in the world, concluding a run down of where Voter HQ is headed.

Yesterday, an insurrection happened culminating in the US Capitol being breached by armed protesters (supporting Trump's bid for presidency). In this episode we talk about what happens when we think our "side" of politics is right and how that works against us.

This week we talk about what the heck is going on in American politics, the fact that Trump has not conceded, and what comes next.

It's less than a week away from the US elections. This episode we talk to Elena Handtrack, a Cambridge Law student from Germany. We cover topics such as nationalism and should we even care as young voters if we feel we can make no difference in politics.

We have a little bit of a different episode today as we interview NYU student Ella Zona and hear her perspective on women in politics, being young and voting, and more.

Getting involved in politics doesn't have to be a stressful experience, but it is part of being alive. As discussed in this episode, whether we like it or not, as young voters, we are a part of the country we live in and our lives are hugely impacted by people in power. This alone should be enough for us to want to educate ourselves.

This week we're talking about how to get a hold of facts, the history of the Supreme Court, packing the court, and whether or not Amy's religion will sway her decision making in the highest court of US law.
