Most people would agree that there is something broken about the world we live in. But what exactly is wrong with our world? It all started in the Garden of Eden when Eve and Adam ate a fruit. In this sermon, DP explores this ancient but relevant story and breaks down the steps that the first two humans took to sin against God: questioning God's word, then focusing on the prohibition, then ultimately mistrusting God. DP also clarifies that sin is a relational rejection of God, warns us about the deceptiveness of our eyes, and alludes to the covering that God gives to us in Christ.

The opening line of any book holds tremendous significance. So what does the first chapter of the Bible say about God and the world? In this sermon, DP explores how to read Genesis 1 in light of its genre (Hebrew poetry) and how God separating and filling the earth alludes to the fact that boundaries lead to true flourishing for humans. DP ends the sermon by encouraging us to challenge our view of God as a kill-joy and to trust God as our Creator by heeding His ways and boundaries.

What is true happiness? Is happiness what we should even be aiming for? At Welcome Sunday service DP explored what the Parable of the Rich Fool says about what is truly worth our time and our lives: being rich towards God. DP exhorts Christians to make their faith their own and nonbelievers to look into Christianity. He closes by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through the Three Circles illustration and encourages all to make a personal decision to follow Jesus.

DP continues his teaching on the Sermon on the Mount and explores how Jesus talked about anger and lust. The message starts with DP clarifying what legalism is and emphasizing God's heart behind the law. They're to be "light of the world," visibly living out their faith. Through the Parable of the Talents, DP challenges us to consider how we are using our God-given resources, not to compare themselves with others, but to invest boldly for the growth of God's kingdom. DP emphasizes that such investment leads to true joy, urging listeners to live not in fear or comfort, but in active, joyful service to God.

In this week's sermon, DP tells the story of Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector and his encounter with Jesus in Jericho. We explore themes of feeling inadequate or "short," the masks we wear to hide those feelings, and the genuine transformation that occurs when one truly encounters Jesus. He also critiques nominal Christianity, urging a genuine, transformative faith that helps others see Jesus clearly.

In this sermon, DP discusses the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, emphasizing that earthly wealth and status are fleeting and ultimately meaningless in the face of death and judgment. DP warns against letting the good things of life distract from the ultimate realities of God, judgment, and eternity.
