  • Episode 69- Beyond Applications to VR Learning Portals

Hello everyone.  Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education.  In today’s episode, we focus on the whole learning package.  There are a growing number of single-use VR applications being developed as part of a growing library of immersive educational content.  The problem with these applications is they need a home.  Currently,  there are only a small number of dedicated platforms where other educators can allow their learners to sign in and access a number of engaging VR applications  We are fortunate to have Kristen Tamm, CEO of Futuclass and Mart Lume, head of Product for Futuclass, on the show to give us more perspective and insight into their exciting VR learning hub.  YOu can learn more about Futuclass hub at https://www.futuclass.com/.

  • Episode 68- Immersive Learning Made Easy with Facilitate

Hello everyone.  Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education.  In today’s episode we focus on the deployment and creation of immersive education content.  We have learnt many lessons from the ongoing pandemic, especially in the field of education and learning.    One big takeaway is that upskilling students and employees in Zoom or other video conferencing platforms may not garner the level of engagement needed to master learning outcomes.  We are fortunate to have Ben Bauert, CEO of Facilitate, and Philipp Seiler, chief experience officer, on our show today to talk more about how VR and 3-D spatial mediums might enhance our institutional learning goals and to discuss the wonderful work they've been doing with their company Facilitate.  You can learn more about their company at https://www.facilitate.tech/.  Were you will find more contact information.

  • Episode 65-VR Creation Made Easy with Tvori

Hello everyone.  Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education.  As talked about in previous episodes, allowing students to flex their creativity, innovation and communication muscles in schools by creating VR experiences is highly desirable.  Alas, the barrier to learning coding and programming inside some VR creation engines is extremely time-consuming.  On today’s show, we have Gabriele Romagnoli, head of community at Tvori to talk more about their wonderful VR creation program.  Tvori has been described as one of the best virtual creation tools on the market because of its beautiful interface and ease of use.

  • Episode 64-Unpacking VR User Analytics with Cognitive3D

Hello everyone.  Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education.  Understanding what our users are thinking is often difficult in VR.  You can watch their movements on a screen but truly knowing and understanding their actions and thinking is not always possible.  On today’s show, we want to unpack analytics a bit further.  One company that might help take the guesswork out of VR training and learning applications is Cognitive3D.  Cognitive3D is a powerful spatial analytics platform that delivers data analytics and insights to anyone building a VR/MR training simulation or research application.  We have invited Tony Bevilacqua who is CEO of Cognitive 3D to discuss with us more about his useful tools. • Episode 63- Lost in Translation- Math and Science Conceptualization with VR

Hello everyone.  Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education. As teachers, we are often charged with helping students make sense of complex ideas.  In this situation, we might start with basic facts and blend in more sophisticated ideas and experiences to help form a bigger picture of the learning landscape. In this way, we form schemata that may provide an epiphany or “light” bulb moment for our learners whereby they feel like they have learnt something on a deeper level.  Yet, providing this type of learning journey can be difficult, time-consuming and not always possible.  Today, on the show we have invited Anurupa Ganguly.  She is the founder and CEO of Prisms of Reality.   Anurupa graduated from MIT with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to get her M.Ed from Boston University.  She has worn several educational hats over the years:  Math teacher, Assistant Director of K-12 Mathematics and Senior Director of Instruction and Professional Learning are just a few of the roles she has played.  She is here today to talk about how Prisms of Reality is carving new ground for Math and Science learning.  Check out her company at https://www.prismsvr.com/.
