The holy text of Srimad Bhaagvatam teaches us the art of living as well as dying. The Hindu system of dividing the human life span in four parts is based upon the rationale that human birth is meant for attaining God and keeping that motive in mind, one should carry on his life's tour.

The first phase called Bramcharya aashram focuses on acquiring knowledge, second part is the Grahsta ashram which is meant for our service to family and society. The third step of Vaanaprast implies retirement from worldly duties which leads us to the final stage of complete Sanyasa (connected to none else than God). Though mind should remain always in the mood of Sanyasi and continue learning spiritual lessons throughout yet body must abide by this way of life for attaining its actual purpose.

We should be clear in our mind regarding what would be our demand if God ever comes in front of us. He is the storehouse of three things- satt (energy), chitt (consciousness) and aanand (bliss). So we should not expect Him to grant us any materialistic thing rather should always wish for a blissful conscience. Worldly possessions automatically come to us through our destiny (accumulated result of our past deeds) but the real essence of human life lies in attaining God's love. The realized souls have thus proclaimed that a seeker need not aspire for God even rather should be ever aspiring for His love. God may come and then subsequently disappear but His love lets us witness an ever-lasting charm within.
