Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Post-shows

In this week's 5 Yrs Ago Flashback episode of the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Post-show (7-26-2021), PWTorch editor Wade Keller is joined by Javier Machado from PWTorch.com to review WWE Monday Night Raw with live calls and emails, plus an on-site correspondent who attended Raw in Kansas City, Mo. They discuss Bobby Lashley’s response to Goldberg, Nikki’s first week as Raw Champion, Charlotte’s heel work, Karrion Kross beating Keith Lee and what to read into what it means for both wrestlers, Drew McIntyre, Riddle, A.J. Styles, and much more. A broader topic includes whether AEW Dynamite can overtake Raw within the next year in total viewership given the current trajectory of both shows, and what could Vince McMahon do to turn things around. It’s a fun dynamic series of conversations with callers followed by a spirited mailbag segment to close out the show.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller was joined by PWTorch's Paul Weigle to discuss Raw with live chat and live caller interaction throughout. They begin by analyzing a decent-enough just fine final segment with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, but how the hit-or-miss build and awkward face-face structure doomed this from being what it could have been. Also, why did Oba Femi beat up a bunch of cops (and why did Michael Cole say, "You can't blame him"?!?) Is the answer to WWE's problems staring them in the face with the crowd reactions to their mid-card matches? Did it show on the faces of top wrestlers that this Summerslam build has been a bust? Should TKO consider replacing Paul Levesque (or should they get out of his way if he's actually lost his power)?

PWTorch editor Wade Keller was joined by Dennis Kline and Jerud Buhagiar (JB) to review AEW Dynamite with chat, caller, and email interactions throughout. They start with analysis of the Will Ospreay-Kenny Omega-Jon Moxley tensions and examine whether it's a derivative overdone trope to sneakily next-level clever compared to most "friendly-fire fallout" storylines (like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes this past weekend). Also, thoughts on Mick Foley's segment with Thekla and Willow Nightingale and why we're rooting for Willow and how this was a step in the right direction. Also, lots of talk about AEW Redemption (or is it Retribution? Or Regurgitation?)... and why it's a sleeper event with some real potential for in-ring excellence and some key storyline developments even with a B-show feel otherwise. Some digs at John Cena and Sting that somehow tied into Dynamite, along with other topics from segments on Dynamite. Plus, Omega brings an early 1980s well know commercial jingle into his opening promo!
