This week on our continuing tracking of films on our respective New Year's lists of things to see in 2015, Andrew gets deep into the world of 'Film-Black' (scuse me, noir for the French), and Jack finally watches a 90's Disney blockbuster that's been somewhat (unjustly) forgotten over time.

Once again, we are nothing if not eclectic. So here, a talk on Compulsion starring Orson Welles and Dean Stockwell features an imitation of Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet, a discussion on voice acting amid the 2010 blockbuster MEGAMIND, Donald Duck almost kills himself in a segment on WW2 shorts he starred in, and James McAvoy in Filth gives way to an anecdote about Deviant Art.... Come to think of it, this segment's kind of crazy.

Welcome back! We take you into (briefly) some almost-shelved comedy-horror hijinks, a best picture Oscar winner which Jack loves (mostly), and an HBO movie about Jack Kevorkian starring Al Pacino.

Let's get dirty....

In a frank and hopefully insightful discourse on sexual relations in the cinematic landscape. Or something.

Jack and Andrew now finally look at 50 Shades of Grey, which... neither of us have seen yet, but we've read and heard a lot about it, so maybe that's something. But we look at that film - which is currently topping box-offices worldwide and has an R-rating in the USA - and in relation to that the world of eroticism in cinema, from the old masters (Bunuel, Kubrick) to how the NC-17 has been controversial over time... for reasons mostly having to do with stupid things, like puppet sex.

Among the films we talk about, we feature some clips and music from Last Tango in Paris, 50 Shades of Grey, Boogie Nights, THIS FILM IS NOT YET RATED (which you should all see), Eyes Wide Shut, and Secretary. We also talk about the female masturbation flick Hysteria, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Clerks, Shame, Blue is the Warmest Color, Killer Joe, 9 1/2 Weeks, and more!

What's this? Moonstruck? AGAIN!? We did that on the first episode, you say. Well, Jack didn't see it and it was on 'The List', the movies that Jack and Andrew are watching from beginning to year's end that the other has seen and the one reviewing hasn't. So Jack watches it, there's talk of Nicolas Cage and John Patrick Shanley, and the Andrew waxes not-too-poetic about Mr. Smith.

Oh, and a movie called The Hitler Gang is brought up. Yeah... Listen to this.

And because we're all about redundancy (if that's the word), here is a LIGHTNING ROUND of films that Jack saw that were up for the 87th Academy awards; none of them won what they were nominated for, but they also screened last year at the Cannes Film Festival, where they all picked up various prizes.
