First, The plaintiff has known the defendant for many years because the defendant did taxes for the plaintiff’s husband and son, but they are not friends anymore after a big falling out. The plaintiff claims the defendant did not complete the taxes, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant is countersuing for harassment.

Then, The plaintiff says she grew up in an abusive household but got a college scholarship. She and her boyfriend say she saved up money to get her own place, but now they’re suing the defendant, her former landlord, for breach of contract and emotional distress. The defendant is countersuing the plaintiffs for damages.
