Wake Forest took a 4-0 record on the road in ACC play on Sept. 28th 2019 as the Demon Deacons traveled to Chestnut Hill, MA to battle Boston College. Wake Forest jumped out to a 10-0 first quarter lead, but the Eagles fought back to tie things up at 17 through one half of play.

Up just 20-17 early in the fourth quarter, quarterback Jamie Newman found Scottie Washington for a 27-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 10. Following a BC touchdown drive and a Wake Forest punt, the Eagles had one final shot to tie or win, but the Demon Deacon defense held strong on one final BC hail mary attempt.

The win improved Wake Forest to 5-0 for the first time since 2007.
