Michael is joined by Dr Cameron Webb, Clinical Lecturer & Principal Hospital Scientist at the University of Sydney, who confirms that mosquitoes really do prefer to bite some people over others.

 

Dr Webb also addresses other mozzie mysteries such as why do mosquitoes need blood; how do mosquitoes find us and do they have a preference for different parts of the body.

Robert Parker, vice president of the Australian Nuclear Association, joins Michael to talk about an interesting development in the push for nuclear power yesterday with Prime Minister Scott Morrison announcing Queensland MP Keith Pitt’s promotion to the position of Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia following the resignation of Matt Canavan.

 

Mr Pitt, who previously resigned in opposition to the government’s commitment to reducing emissions under the Paris accord, in recent years has been a very outspoken advocate for nuclear power.
