  • Can You Be a Christian and a Democrat?

Can you be a Christian and a Democrat? Texas State Senator and Republican nominee for Attorney General Mayes Middleton joins Chris to answer that question head-on.

Middleton talks about faith as a calling, not a career, and why he says the modern Democratic Party has been captured by the Democratic Socialists of America. He walks through bills he authored — Save Women’s Sports, the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, and defining male and female in law — and contrasts that record with James Talarico, a professing Christian Democrat who opposed the Ten Commandments in classrooms, school chaplains, and prayer in public schools.

They cover “love thy neighbor” as a political slogan, border policy, defunding police, Soros-backed prosecutors, the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, and why Middleton says not voting is a vote for the other side.

For Liberty & Justice seeks to mobilize the church, wake up the city, and take a stand for liberty and justice.

  • Christianity & Politics: Why the Church Can’t Stay Silent

What happens when a Christian is called into the public square?

On this episode of Wake Up Church, Chris sits down with Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare for a candid conversation about faith, family, leadership, government, elections, and the role of the Church in our communities.

Judge O’Hare shares the story of how he went from practicing law and investing in real estate to entering public office after asking God to make His will clear. He also discusses what it means to lead one of America’s largest counties while seeking to put his faith at the center of his decisions.

The conversation goes beyond politics. They talk about discernment in an age of social media and political division, the importance of understanding what is happening beyond an eight-second clip, the responsibility Christians have to engage in their communities, and why local government can have such a significant impact on everyday life.

The message throughout the conversation is simple: the Church cannot afford to stay on the sidelines.

Watch, listen, share, and join the conversation as we seek to Mobilize the Church, Wake Up the City, and Take a Stand For Liberty and Justice.

  • Was America REALLY Founded as a Christian Nation?

Was America founded as a Christian nation—or has our history been quietly erased?

Tim Barton, president of WallBuilders, sits down with Chris to walk through original documents, founding charters, court cases, and the actual stories of the Founders.

    They cover:

    • Jefferson’s “separation of church and state” letter—and the fact that two days later he attended church in the U.S. Capitol and invited the preacher
    • The First Continental Congress opening with prayer and a Bible study (Psalm 35)
    • Why “Christian nationalism” is often used as a scare label
    • What the church should do now in a more secular culture

Barton argues the nation was formed by men who overwhelmingly believed biblical principles were the best foundation for freedom, stability, and prosperity—and that the church must stop sitting on the sidelines.

  • EXPOSING the Culture of Death Behind Lindsay Clancy

Three children are dead. Their mother is on trial. The culture is asking whether it was evil or illness.

In this episode of the Wake Up Church Podcast, Chris and Josh walk through the Lindsay Clancy case — the January 2023 killings of Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months) in Duxbury, Massachusetts — and refuse to treat the victims as a footnote.

    They cover:

    • What the prosecution and defense are actually arguing
    • How a culture that devalues children in the womb now devalues them after birth
    • The government’s job to connect crime with consequence

This is not a call to hate Lindsay Clancy. It is a call to hate what God hates, love what God loves, seek justice for the children, and intercede for repentance, deliverance, and a verdict that tells the truth.

  • The Church’s Greatest Failure Right Now

Pastors across America are endorsing candidates like James Talarico (who says God is non-binary) and Zohran Mamdani (a Muslim socialist). Should spiritual leaders stay out of politics, or equip the church to vote biblical values?

Chris and Asher break down why “being nice” is not kindness, why policies matter more than personalities, and how the church’s lack of discernment is handing authority to the enemy.

This is a call for pastors to stop operating in the fear of man, for believers to know the Word of God and the laws of the land, and for the church to stop ceding God-given authority.

If every Christian voted biblical values, America would look radically different. It’s time to wake up.

  • Life in the Womb is Under Attack

Recently Massachusetts signed a law that effectively allows abortion up to the moment of birth. At the same time, a surrogate mother named McKenna West crossed state lines to Texas to save the life of baby Gabriel after the intended parents demanded an abortion over a treatable heart condition. Texas AG Ken Paxton stepped in.

In this episode of the Wake Up Church Podcast, Chris sits down with Emmanuel Cota (Citizens for Life) to break down:

    • What the new Massachusetts law actually does

    • The real numbers on abortions and the myth that abortion is needed to save the mother’s life

    • Why the Church cannot stay silent

    • Practical ways you can act (petition, vote, local involvement)

Plus, a look at the recent claims about COVID vaccines and miscarriage rates.

Life in the womb has never been more contested. It’s time for the Church to open its mouth for the voiceless (Proverbs 31:8).

  • Is the Political Left Quietly Making Friends with Islam?

America was founded on Christian principles — from the Mayflower Compact to the originalists who said the states should encourage Christianity.

Today we’re watching a different ideology take root: record Muslim elected officials, open “Death to America” chants in Michigan, and a strategic plan uncovered by the FBI.

We love Muslims. We reject the anti-Christ religion of Islam. Join us as we expose the red-green alliance, examine the fruits, and contend for revival — starting with prayer for every Muslim heart to encounter Jesus.

  • “Spiritual Leaders” Endorse Gender Affirming Care on Minors?!

The Presbyterian Church (USA) just voted 441–30 to endorse gender-affirming care — including surgical and hormonal interventions on minors. At the same time, a University of Minnesota program tied to Governor Tim Walz is rolling out dolls with swappable genitalia for children ages 4–10, and California is advancing AB 1803, a bill that would force churches to conduct mandatory “anti-hate” training on sexual orientation and gender identity with no religious exemption.

Chris and Josh break down why these are not merely political issues but spiritual ones. They examine the biblical weight of causing little ones to stumble (Matthew 18:6), the danger of the church becoming desensitized, and the call for believers to stop abdicating their role. The episode ends with a charge to stand on Scripture, resist government overreach into the pulpit, and pray for repentance and revival among compromised spiritual leaders and political figures.

Truth is not up for a vote. The church must wake up.

Make sure you share this episode with someone who needs to understand that the time is NOW for Christians to stand up for the Truth in culture.

  • America Has a Jewish Problem — The Church Must Wake Up

America has a Jewish problem—and the Church can no longer afford to ignore it.

In this episode of the Wake Up Church Podcast, Chris and Josh examine the alarming rise of anti-Semitism in America, the growing hostility toward Israel, and why this issue is far more than politics—it is a spiritual battle.

As anti-Israel rhetoric spreads throughout our culture, many Christians are asking difficult questions. Is Israel committing genocide? What really happened on October 7? How should believers respond to the war in the Middle East? And what does Scripture say about God's covenant with Israel?

This episode is not about promoting hatred toward any people group. As followers of Christ, we are called to love our neighbors—including Muslims and Palestinians—while also standing firmly for biblical truth and recognizing the spiritual realities described in Scripture.

The Church was never called to remain silent. It's time to wake up, seek discernment from the Holy Spirit, and stand for truth with both conviction and compassion.
