The Boone County Fire Protection District credits MU Health Care personnel and Boonville Police for their quick work in helping to deliver a healthy baby in the back of an ambulance on I-70 in Columbia during Thursday morning's winter storm. It all started in Boonville, when Boonville Police officer Clinton Barger was called to transport a mother in labor, along with her husband. Officer Barger requested an intercept with an ambulance at Boone County fire station 9. Former Missouri House Speaker Elijah Haahr (R-Springfield) served as speaker from 2018-2020. He served four terms in the House, from 2013-2020. Mr. Haahr is now the Noble Health Foundation's executive director. He joined us live in-studio on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Columbia" to discuss the stalemate in the Missouri Senate over congressional redistricting, and how the Senate and House negotiated with each other while he was speaker.
