U.S. Rep. Billy Long (R-Springfield) is seeking Missouri's GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate in August. He appeared live on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Columbia" this morning and criticized what he calls "Big Tech." Congressman Long alleges that Big Tech is censuring conservatives. He also called on Missouri lawmakers to approve a 7-1 GOP congressional map, and criticized two of his GOP primary opponents: Attorney General Eric Schmitt and former Governor Eric Greitens:

State Rep. Sara Walsh (R-Ashland) supports a 7-1 GOP congressional map in Missouri, while other Republicans favor a 6-2 map. Representative Walsh joined "Wake Up Columbia" and explained her position on 7-1. She's seeking west-central Missouri's fourth congressional district seat. Representative Walsh also previewed Tuesday's hearing on her legislation to repeal Missouri's recent gasoline tax. She says with millions of federal dollars coming to Missouri, the state can adequately fund infrastructure without increasing the gas tax. Walsh also says the gas tax increase should have gone to a statewide vote. Missouri lawmakers approved the bipartisan gas tax increase in May: it increases the state's gas tax by 2.5 cents per gallon for five years, for a total of 12 cents:

The National Weather Service (NWS) offices in Kansas City and St. Louis say Columbia, Jefferson City and Fulton are expected to receive ten to 15 inches of snow between late tomorrow (Tuesday) night and Thursday evening. Senate Majority Leader Caleb Rowden (R-Columbia) appeared live on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Columbia," and says he's watching the forecast closely. Leader Rowden confirms the major winter storm could lead to a short week in the Senate. He also addressed the issue of education reform:
