“As the deer pants for water brooks, so pants my souls for you, o God.” Psalm 42:2. The Psalmist Realized he could not live without God. He knew that only God alone could satisfy the deepest longings in his soul. Today Jesus provides living water for all who are thirsty.

“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and save such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalm 34:18. Jesus sympathize with our weaknesses. He is mindful of what we have to endure in this fallen world. He promises to provide the strength we need to get through the day.

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalm 32:1. Have you experienced the joy of knowing that you are forgiven? The Bible says if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.

“You hid your face, and I was troubled.” Psalm 30:7. At times it may seem like God has hidden his face from you, but he hasn’t. Even in spite of how you may feel, the Lord is still with you. He promised that he would never leave you or for sake you.

“ be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; wait I say on the lord.” Psalm 27:14. It’s easy to grow discouraged while waiting, but the Lord wants to strengthen our hearts. Waiting doesn’t make us weaker but stronger. Be of good courage today, God is always on time.

“Wait on the Lord.” Psalm 27:13. One of the most difficult things for us to do is wait. Yet there are many In valuable lessons that can be learned and waiting on the Lord. We learn to trust in God. And waiting our motives are refined. While waiting we are being prepared to step out in faith.

“I Will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1. Take time today to think the Lord for all of the good things that he has done in your life. Recall his love and faithfulness. Remember how he has protected and provided for you. Think of how he has saved you and promised you the hope of heaven.

“ I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?” Job 31:1. It’s important to be careful what we put in front of our eyes. Because what we see affects how we think, which in turn affects the way we act. Make an agreement with your eyes to look away from worthless things.

“But he knows the way that I take; When he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10. The Lord allows us to go through times of testing in order to refine us for a greater purpose. In the refining process the impurities rise to the surface so that they can be removed. The Lord will show us what is in our heart, not to hurt us, but to help us.

“For I k ow that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth,” Job 19:25. Jesus’ Rising from the dead sets him apart from every other so-called Savior. Your redeemer is alive and well. And because he lives you can have confidence and all the promises he has made. You can rest assured that he is with you even at this moment. Because Jesus is alive, hope is alive!
