Trigger Warning from David Keck

I am an open gay man. I live in the South. We have come along way with diversity, but we still have quite a way to go. 7 years ago, at age 34 I was targeted by a straight man at a karaoke bar. Cameras show I left the bar with my friend, and then cameras show he left 3 mins later. My attacker is trained military and recently discharged due to drugs. He was driving through my town, as he lives a couple towns over. He knocked on my apartment door and when I answered he had me knocked out on first hit. He spent 2 hours raping me from room to room with his body as well as foreign objects.

He stole my car and money and went bar hopping. He got drunk and wrecked my car. When the police came to the scene he confessed to murder. He had thought he had killed me. My body was found 18 hours later. I suffered from memory loss and brain damage from lack of oxygen. I had to learn to walk again.

The media released the story while I was still unconscious. Since the media couldn’t speak to me, they based their story on his confession. His original confession is he attacked me because I sexually propositioned him. During trial he admitted this wasn’t true but thought the cops would go easy on him for being sexually propositioned by a gay guy.

Due to the story the media released people began to victim blame. I started getting death threats and people wanting to finish the job. Still to this day I am in sexual assault group therapy and it has saved my life. I have developed a passion for this and I want to be a part of making a change and difference.

Ricardo “Rico” Abdel Aviles. Richard "Rico" was
born, raised and educated in Puerto Rico.  At a young age Rico was part of FBLA and was also trained and utilized as a Spanish translator for his high school.  Competing and representing the island of Puerto Rico in improvised oratory at the age of 17.  Rico is a lover of languages.  A veteran of the Army after serving 5 years in the military as a military police man who served in Iraq from 2008-2009, special reactions team and patrol officer.  Rico has also earned the military outstanding volunteer service medal for service to his community as well as participating in the devastating tornado that hit Joplin, MO in 2011.  A purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Brian Stuebner, Rico can defend himself with more than just words.  As a comedian he has opened and performed with names such as Kevin Farley, Ian Edwards, Shayne Smith and many more.  He is also host of the Rico Podcast , a podcast on iHeartRadio that has hosted guest such as Michael Wart, Roli Delgado and Tommy Chong.  Rico is also an avid gamer and anime enthusiast since an early age.

David's new book Shouter and Bat is on Kindle Vella.  It tells the story of boy with special powers named Shouter and his almost-human dog Bat. They live in an unusual cave in a world that where electricity no longer exists.  It is a tale of love, loss, and redemption.
In addition to writing, he  collects vinyl records, books, love Disneyland, walking and hiking.
David is sixty seven years old and has been happily married to his wife Kathy for over four decades.  Him and his wife have a daughter, Jennie, and a dog named Gracie and a grand dog named Tuesday Afternoon.

Ashlie has played duel characters in a Drunk History genre short film. She plays a drunk narrator, and a not so secret Agent in this short comedy about stealing the answers to all life’s questions. In a Western film, Ashlie is the lead female character. She portrays a frontier woman ready and willing to do whatever is necessary to protect her land after her husband dies, and old enemies come knocking. One of her favorite projects was working on a Hallmark Christmas movie,Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses starring Jill Wagner (Braven, Teen Wolf) and Matthew Davis (Legally Blonde, The Vampire Diaries), which aired it’s premiere on the network during Christmas 2019. 

Ashlie’s upcoming projects include Beneath The Trees in which she holds a lead role; filming early 2021 for a major streaming network. Casting the First Stone filming in 2021. And she was recently offered the female lead in a sitcom entitled Safe At Home also filming in 2021. 

Ashlie trains Scene Study & Character Development classes with working actors in the industry,  Glenn Morshower (The Resident, The West Wing) and Lar Park Lincoln (Knots Landing, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood). 

Ashlie also has theatre credits under her belt. Theatre is where she started, and honed in her acting chops. Starring as the Red Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, she got to play her first villain role. She also played vulnerable characters in the Holocaust play, Nellis’ Song, and the Queen in Many Moons, which served as her very first leading role.

In her freetime, Ashlie is working on her first novel. A suspenseful thriller sure to leave readers turning the pages till the end. She also makes no apologies for her Amazon shopping habits."

I am what you call a “long Shot”. I come from a long line of “long shots”. My grandmother and her family escaped the Russian concentration camps at gunpoint on her way to America.

My father was a homeless New York street kid who eventually became a millionaire, then lost everything due to a reckless lifestyle and found himself penniless and living homeless again.

I was an unplanned child, born over two months premature, with immunity issues. Growing up, I was diagnosed with a “learning disability”, Dyslexia, and had a bad stutter.

I grew up in a broken home. I was weak, riddled with health challenges, frequently confused, felt out of place, socially awkward, quiet, hyper, and impulsive.

 When I was a kid, people were not familiar with the terms ADD, ADHD, attention deficit hyper disorder (something I learned I had later on). I eventually overcame many of these issues and have found much success and failures along the way. I have had many milestones, obstacles, failures, pivotal points of inspiration, and successes.
