Research shows that some of the significant stressors impacting your health are divorce, moving, and the death of a friend or loved one. Let’s look at two of these that seem to be most commonly combined, divorce and moving. Have you experienced this?
The exciting thing about this is we all may appear on the outside to be handling it differently. For example, some people get depressed and seem to be frozen in time. Others appear to be in a fighting mode, and still, others make strategic plans.
Although on the outside, we all look different, on the inside, we are all experiencing increased inflammation, stress on our gut, and increased chances of disease due to chronic inflammation. We sometimes say we have butterflies in our stomachs, cannot eat, not sleep well, gain weight, and even have heart attacks. This is all gut-related. Ninety percent of all diseases start in the gut. Your gut is the foundation for your immune system. It is your immune system. This is why when you are stressed, need to focus, exercise, or hang out with friends and family; it is essential to take care of your gut health. Your gut is your entire digestive system starting at one end with your mouth and ending with the exit portal. Saliva starts digesting what you put in your mouth even before chewing. Ding ding ding, did you get the connection? Your gut is your immune system. Your gut starts with your mouth. Your digestion begins with the saliva. So your entire digestive system and process is your gut. Now you know the importance of chewing correctly as well.
Do you have any idea of what signs to look for that might indicate how healthy or unhealthy your gut is at any given time?
The best way to do this is to track and record the date and times you eat, what you ate, how it made you feel when you pooped, and how your poop looked. Yes, turn around and look into the bowl to see what your poop looks like. Since we do not have X-ray vision like Superman to see what’s going on inside, our poop lets us know how we digest our food and can even give indications of various diseases.
