Who is Patrick?

Patrick Murphy believes that the bravest thing any human can do is to ask for help, especially in the moments when we feel like we should "have it all together." He is a storyteller, entrepreneur, and somatic coach who empowers leaders and high achievers to break free from feeling stuck. He knows what it's like to spend years in therapy, read all the books, listen to all of the podcasts, make some progress, yet still feel stuck and broken inside. His own journey through the depths of trauma and complex PTSD—stemming from an alcoholic father and childhood sexual abuse from a neighbor—has been filled with great success working for companies like The Wall Street Journal and founding a mental health startup while secretly battling self-doubt, suicidal ideation, and feelings of brokenness. After decades of striving in this way, Patrick discovered Somatic Experiencing which transformed his understanding of himself and revealed that his perceived brokenness was, in fact, his nervous system stuck in loops of past trauma and shame. Now, he dedicates his life to guiding other courageous individuals to make sense of their inner worlds and embrace the bold, visionary lives they desire to lead while laughing a lot and enjoying themselves along the way. 

Today I'm deep diving into the science behind intuition and how it works.

I talk about why its often easier to connect with our intuition for others but can be challenging to connect with our intuition around topics we want clarity around the most.

I give some of the science behind WHY it's more challenging and how you can bring yourself into a more receptive intuitive state.

Today I shared some of my own reflections on Human Design and I invite you to take what resonates and leave what doesn't.

Human Design is a beautiful tool that can help you to interpret the language of your body and where your body is trying to lead and guide you.

As we move into this new era, we're being invited to find our own definition of freedom and what feels good and right for us in our own experience. There's no one 'right way' to be successful - different things are going to feel good for different people and it's important to listen to and lean into what feels right for each of us.
