Twenty-five years ago today, the film It’s My Party premiered. I saw a matinee of it alone, not fully expecting to know what was going to happen. I cried for 105 of the 110 minutes.

Today is the 93rd birthday of Mr. Rogers.  He was the kindest, most gentle adult that kids my age ever knew.  He spoke to us as people and inspired us to think about our feelings.  He taught us empathy and compassion.   The world, Public Television, and my life is a better place because Mr. Rogers was in it and the loss is still very strongly felt that he has left.
