Today is the 89th birthday of fashion Icon Anna Maria Piaggi.  Her style was legendary, like Isabella Blow, Edith Head, Daphne Guinness and Grace Coddington to cary on the her artistry.  He was an original and the world was a better place because she was in it and still feels the loss that she has left.

Today is 93rd birthday of the iconic fashion maven Carrie Donovan.  I am a sucker for huge glasses, truth be told. You have got to OWN your look, make it yours, and do not hide from it. Become know by it and your “style” becomes stylish and copied.  The world was a better place because she was in it and still feels the loss that she has left.

Twenty-five years ago today, the film It’s My Party premiered. I saw a matinee of it alone, not fully expecting to know what was going to happen. I cried for 105 of the 110 minutes.

Today is the 93rd birthday of Mr. Rogers.  He was the kindest, most gentle adult that kids my age ever knew.  He spoke to us as people and inspired us to think about our feelings.  He taught us empathy and compassion.   The world, Public Television, and my life is a better place because Mr. Rogers was in it and the loss is still very strongly felt that he has left.
