During a time of prayer, the Lord gave me something I thought necessary to share with you. I believe this to be absolutely vital to how we approach all things lately; reopening society and churches, engaging in social media conversations, relationship with others, and even our own personal lives. I pray it's an encouraging word to you.

Jesus performs yet another amazing miracle, yet so many fail to comprehend who He is. Even His disciples forget the amazing things Jesus has done and focus on the wrong thing. How many times do we need to be shown how to do something in order to be provided proper understanding? How may times could we be found guilty of forgetting all that God has done for us? Jesus is all we need. Are we listening intently to what He is saying, and ultimately, what He is offering us?

Our testimony is powerful. Whatever it may be. How plain or extravagant it may be. It is yours. It is what God granted for you. It’s what He’s allowed you to experience. Your job is to share it. Your purpose is to declare how Jesus saved you, and how he is now working in and through you for the sake of His glory, Amen?! What’s your story?

The Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi is one of encouragement, love, and hope. He sends his love from a Roman prison with the purpose to encourage the church to continue in advancing the gospel of Jesus. All of us play a role in the gospel. We are not merely spectators. We are ALL participants.

The title of Mom is a blessed gift from the Lord. Yet it carries a heavy weight of responsibilities. How do you as a Mom walk the line between your love for Jesus and your labor of love, your family? Submission to authority is something we are called to do according to God’s Word. We’re called to submit to one another in marriage and in the church. But why do we stop short when it comes to those in political authority over our lives? How do we as followers of Jesus balance our citizenship in Heaven with our citizenship in America?

What does ‘baptism’ and ‘communion’ mean? Why do we practice these things in the church? Are they a means to salvation? What happens if I’m not baptized or partake in the communion process? Our new normal is causing a lot of unfiltered emotions and response due to the government’s stay-at-home orders. Now that the order has been extended to June 19, we’re starting to see more cultural response. What should our response, as Christians, be during this time? At the very least, we have to have some conversation. So let it begin.

What does it mean to 'tithe'? What's the difference between a tithe and an offering? Why do we give our money to the church? If the church isn't meeting in a building because of COVID-19, do I still tithe? These are just a few of the questions we'll address in Part 2 of our series "Why do you do that?!" Ultimately, God's Word speaks volumes to giving back to the Lord, especially when it comes to our financial provision.
