  • ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS-YOUR KING IS COMING

    The world was in turmoil, the people were breathing heavy under the oppression of their rulers and they needed a saviour....the prophets had foretold that He would come, but He was taking His time. That was 2000+ years ago.

    Today, the world is in need of change. The people are crying, the women and their children are longing for their husbands and fathers. The men are longing for a rescue from the oppression of economic upheavals, social injustice... Then and now, the sound of consolation, the word of peace are the desires of many aching souls...

  • THE HERALD

    We do not exist alone. We were designed to work with others. Your purpose needs another to be fulfilled. Someone has to hand over the baton to you. John the Baptist had to point Jesus out to the world...

  • THE LIFE OF AN UNDERDOG

    Surely I was sinful at birth,

    sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

    6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;

    you taught me wisdom in that secret place. Psalm 51:5-6

    No one reckoned with him, not even his father, never mind he was the last of the sons of Jesse the Bethlehemite. David was relegated to shepherding the few sheep his family owned. The family business left in the hands of a lad speaks volumes. His older brothers were well-built men of war. They looked the part but lacked the essence.

    Judging by the fact that his father scarcely remembered David when the prophet showed up, we can assume that no one was interested in siring another son by the time he came. David's field of play was the deserts, logging around the father's sheep and his musical instruments. Besides shepherding the sheep, David's other recourse was to His God and his environment. His medium of escape was poetry and worship to God, the one who reckoned with him even in the backwoods of nowhere.

  • Life Lessons 1

    He was a good man who fell on bad times. He tried to do right by everyone. Minded his business and was well respected by everyone until life dealt him a nasty blow. Folks had always wondered how everything went on so smoothly for him. How was he managing to keep it all together? Now that times were rough, they had the answer! He must have been bad all along. No wonder, they thought, he had it too good. 'Who has it all? We have always felt something was amiss just that we could not pin it. Now we know.'...

  • DON'T WASTE YOUR SEASONS

    Life comes in seasons, we live in cycles.

    Day after day they continue to speak;

    night after night they make him known.

    3 They speak without a sound or word;

    their voice is never heard.

    4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

    and their words to all the world.Psalm 19:2-4 NLT

  • SIGNPOSTS ON LIFE'S JOURNEY

    Some lessons are learned just walking paths; some are right at the gates whilst some you must dig through tunnels. As varied as we are, we find that God has left for each one of us lessons on the Freeways of life. Whatever we do, we must pay attention. The billboards of life are just as important as the handbills. Some milestones are legible, others have seen better days and so can barely be seen. What we must bear in mind, however, is whether it's the written signs or the faded ink on the milestone, we need the information to go through life.

    Sometimes, you must run, other times walking is just fine and yet some other time, you must slowly tread. Wherever you are now, you must read the signs, heed the warnings or you may be sorry. Seeing that there is time for everything under the sun, we must ensure that we do not do in the morning what should happen in the evening. I say again, my friend, pay attention. Read the signposts! Your life guide, God the Holy Spirit, is ever so willing to show you what you need to know. Embrace Him and don't ignore Him. He holds the signs.

  • When your path is lined with detractors.

    When your path is lined with detractors.

    They tell you to dream and you follow their advice and you discover that they never meant it.

    Joseph’s birth separated him unto favour. He was the child of the favoured wife and a special baby at that. His father loved him, maybe because his mother Rachael did not stay around to take care of him.

    His brothers who happened to be older could not stand him let alone his grandiose dreams, what do they do? Look for the right time to do away with him.

    You cannot kill  a dream that originated from heaven.

    Nehemiah was special aide to the king in a foreign land. He was comfortable but his heart was with the people in Jerusalem. How can that pose a problem? But it did, for the ones who were profiting from the ruins that existed at the time. Sanballat and Tobias had influence but pitched against God’s counsel, their influence was mere noise.

    David was the last and yes, least reckoned with yet the anointing to be king rested on Him.

    He did not seek fame yet fame found him. What others struggled to achieve was piece of cake for him. The result, his life was battle ridden, such that even the king wanted him dead.

    I knew my assignment and I went about it the best way I could but now and again, I found that there are folk who situate themselves in ones path just so they could find occasion to trip one up. There was an advert that ran on tv when we were younger. It had in it a phrase ?”there is no killing the beetle”

    The bible tells us that many are the devices in a man’s heart but only the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

    My dear  friend, in what way are you being distracted. What did they put as obstacles on your path? Someone said, if you cannot climb the mountain, go around it, ignore the nay sayers. Backbiters have to be behind you to do their job. Keep moving and in no time, you would be at the finish line.

    Keep your focus, pray to God, let him lead you. Draw your strength from Him.

    There is no stopping a man on a mission.

  • STAYING ROOTED IN A SPINNING WORLD

    They were with the Master in the boat. The days preceding had been busy but He was on top of His game, until, they thought, the waves came and their lives seemed to be in danger. They went to the back of the boat and the Master was sleeping. Really! “Master don’t you care?’ , was their desperate question.

    Relax, I am still here, exercise your faith folks, Oga reprimanded His followers. He looked beyond them, faced the waves and commanded a stay action.

    What? Who is this man that even the seas and the winds obey Him?

    Beloved, which of the two questions are you in need of answers to?
