  • Christmas Diaries 1
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.

  • A Date with Destiny
It was a sunny sunday afternoon, the people had gathered for the monthly Celebration of Life in Christ.
To all intents and purposes, it was going to be a normal meeting, sing praises, share testimonies, share the word, pray and eat. Mans plan.
God had His own agenda, He had instructed a prophet His son to attend the meeting, anoint the called, pronounce Gods counsel and set them all in motion.
The vision of the monthly meet was for Gods children to have a forum to fellowship and share their experiences in their various callings.
They were majorly priests, generals in their own right. Warriors on the frontline. The meeting was a forum where you let down your armoury and just be a child in the presence of your father. It was a place of escape, a refuge, a refueling station. A place of rest.
Nobody judged you, you are allowed to be. No matter what was pursuing you or what you are after, this meeting was comfort zone. Just come and find succor.
The prophet shows up and declares the mind of God. Atmosphere changes, destiny is unleashed, mighty men are set loose.
Who would have known that God would chose a sunday afternoon in an informal gathering to announce his counsel. Yeah, the people knew that God was in their midst, they just did not realise, He was there as The Lord of Host.
There were those in the meeting who only came for the food but there were also them who knew God would visit.
They saw Him and their destiny took shape.

  • Colliding with Destiny
    Colliding With Destiny
The assignment was simple. Go look for the lost sheep, not an unusual errand, after all a good shepherd must know to look for even the one lost sheep. Only thing is, this errand was happening when destiny was knocking.
The people of Israel had envied their neighbours. They loved the fact that they had physical kings to lead them to war. For them, it was kind of awkward having to rely on a God they did not see and moreso having to consult prophets before they could do anything. Never mind that they had been warned, they were a peculiar people, a chosen generation and yet a very unsatisfied lot.
They had troubled the Prophet Samuel sore in their quest for their own king, like all the neighbouring countries had. Beware of wanting to belong. They wanted to be what already were.
Saul’s brief was ‘take with you the servant and go look for lost sheep’. The Bible takes a moment to describe Saul.

  • My grace is sufficient for you
My Grace is Sufficient for yOu
    2 Corinthians 12:9-10
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Lying on his side and craving some peace, he wondered how long? He had been bed ridden for the past six months. The tests reveal nothing concrete yet he knew he was not well.
Some friends had insinuated he had some secret faults that God was choosing to judge. Some others had advised he seek some alternative medicine.
He had searched and searched and could not come up with why heaven was keeping quiet on his issue.

  • The Protocol of Prayer
God, who gets invited to dinner at your place? How do we get on your guest list? “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth. “Don’t hurt your friend, don’t blame your neighbor; despise the despicable. “Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never take a bribe. “You’ll never get blacklisted if you live like this.”
    Psalms 15:1‭-‬5

  • Why do we need to pray?
Yes, there is a need to pray. However, understanding that we are limited in ability and capacity, and the spirit controls the physical, many life issues are beyond the natural realm; it is wisdom to acknowledge the need to make prayer pivot in our lives.
Also, knowing that there is a higher force, all-knowing, all-seeing, and almighty, will help to give meaning to our life and existence.

If we quickly scan our world today, we will observe that all that exists are bowing to some force. Systems and patterns characterize almost every form of existence. Seeing that we are not primarily responsible for them, it is only wise to recourse to the one who initiated their existence.
