  • PRAY AND FAST
Do you know that walking in the footsteps of Jesus requires that you pray and sometimes fast.
Jesus prayed, sometimes short and other times long into the night. He said ‘when you pray’, not if you pray.
Prayer is the bridge that connects you to God. It is your heart knitting with your makers. It is child drawing close to father. It is the means by which heaven kisses the earth
Pray so that you will not fall into temptation. Pray that the enemy will not have permission to sift you. That the kingdom will obtain in your sphere and in your world
Pray that that you will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
And Fast, because somethings just won’t budge until the flesh is subdued and heaven is fully deployed.
Friend, pray and fast, it is the way of the wise

    My dear friend,
When you love and serve another, you are actually doing yourself a favour
When you are kind to strangers, you may be playing host to angels who may have been sent to minister to you.
Appreciate your leaders; copy their Godly natures and secure your seat in the theatre of wisdom. Live so others may see Jesus in you, take your good deeds beyond your church .
Never take things, others for granted. Work for the common good.
Regard your pastors and make them happy. Their job of watching over your soul is hard enough. They will give an account you know, make it easy for them.
Pay attention to God's Word. Therein you will find the secrets for life and living. You will do your soul a lot of good by doing so.
Life on earth is temporary, heaven is home!

  • IT WILL END IN PRAISE TO GOD
IT WILL END IN PRAISE TO GOD
His birth was supernaturally announced, so was his cousins. His mission on earth was just to herald the coming of his cousin the Christ.
From the stories his mother told him, they were six months apart. In fact, at some point when his mother was pregnant with him, his aunt Mary had to come to take refuge in their house. He did his best to stay faithful to his calling. He never pretended to be who he was not. He told the people what his mission was, and he never took the glory for that was not his. He showed the whole world that Jesus the Christ was the one to come and save the entire world from their sins. Apart from the fact that their ministries were closely linked, they were cousins, i.e. family for crying out loud. Aren't families supposed to look out for each other? When the people were trying to cause a rift, he was quick to declare his position, 'I am not the Messiah'. As he was wrongly placed in bonds, how come this cousin would not even as much as visit him in prison?
He did the big brother thing, sent his aides to make sure cousin Jesus knew his plight. His thoughts must have been something like this, 'you are my cousin, and we both know you are the Christ, you have all power, and you can at least check me up now I am in detention and that wrongly so. You of all people should know my plight; we are related physically and spiritually, Haba! Jesus.' Jesus was about His regular duties, and then He got to know He had visitors from His cousin John. Their only question was, 'are you the messiah or should we expect another?'
The question could have been from a place of pain, a place of frustration, a place of bewilderment, disbelief, desperation or even anger. We do not know for sure; all we know is Jesus' reply was neither to say yes or no. He told them to report what they saw. 'That's it? Is that your answer? Is this how you respond to my plight?' If you are like me, you would conclude that Jesus right there was hard, I mean, give the guy a break! The guy was in trouble, and all you did was reel out your accomplishment? Come on!
But you and I know that God is not like us. Jesus expected John to know. It does not matter what your issues are; God is still God. If He is not responding the way you wish, that does not change a thing! The heavens will not fall because you have issues. Hey brother, get over it! Should you know the terms of reference for your office? Stop sulking, go about your business. If the bend you are on demands that you face the evil king, so be it!
Did John die sad, offended, disappointed or even bitter, we do not know. We only know that he was reputed to be the greatest amongst the prophets (Matthew 11:1-15).
My friend, have you been there? Have you found yourself alone whilst being surrounded by folk who should empathise but would not? Have you felt let down by family and buddies who should be with you through thick and thin? Know this; there is nothing new under the sun! John the Baptist died, the greatest amongst the prophets, you have not been asked to shed blood so brother, it's all good.
It will all turn out to God's glory. Know for sure; God is working it all out for your good. When it all comes together, we will understand. There is a big picture in the Masters' mind.

  • LLETTER FROM DAD
    My child,
Many call me their Father, but I do not know them. Some run errands in my name, and I did not send them. Some swear by my authority, and they were never mine. Many are wondering why I just let them be, tell me if I destroy them how many will remain. I am sure you will not like it if infidels say all I do is destroy because that will not be true. All I am about is the redemption of man back to me.
I made all the provisions; I wooed the people in many ways. It is just that they would rather walk in their ways.
You see, their ways can only lead to death and destruction. Many of them think they know, but they do not know anything about me or the way I work. Many talk in my name, and they never consulted me. I am sure you are wondering why I am telling you all this. It is very simple; I want you to get it. I have invested too much to watch you miss the way. Every time my people chose the wrong path, it hurts. My son Jesus already paid the price, and the Holy Spirit is there to help them, what more do they want?
I do not want my people to perish, but you must understand why I cannot behold sin. I am a just God. I cannot condone evil that is why I arranged a way out for my people. When they go against my will, I have to punish. All I want you to do now is warn them again. They do not have forever to get it right. I am about to wrap things up, and they cannot afford to go on the way they are going.
Many of my children are deluding themselves, saying that they are in the age of grace, so it is all right to do whatever they like. How can that be? If they truly understand my grace, it will make them do right and love and appreciate me more. Grace, my child, is not a license to sin. It is room to behave like me. I indeed love them, but love chastises, love punishes, you know. If I let them continue in their rot, they will shipwreck the faith, and you know very well that I cannot let that happen.
I am writing you this little love note so you can run and let my other children know. I am getting ready to end this age, and I want them to be prepared.
    I love you.
    Your Father
    P.S.
“Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head. Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’ “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved. (Ezekiel 33:2-9)

  • CHOOSE LOVE, CHOOSE LIFE, CHOOSE GOD
    CHOOSE LOVE, CHOOSE LIFE
My dear friend, as you step out today, go about your daily duties. Life will present you ideologies and will demand that you choose between different Gods. Essentially demanding you to bow.
The God, ideology you choose will reveal where your devotion lies. It will determine your choices, inform your actions, and your actions will either move you, your family, society, nation forward or backwards. They will position you for God’s blessings or curses.
Be sure to choose the living God, the fountain of life and wisdom. Love Him with all your heart and mind and be equipped to love your fellow man and seek his highest good. Determine that there will be peace and love and righteousness and joy in your time by your choices.
    This Song comes to mind;
I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb (Song by Ray Boltz 1994)
    Chorus:
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
    With all my strength
    With all I am
I will seek to honour His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
I have heard how Christians long ago
Were brought before a tyrant's throne
And they were told that he would spare their lives
If they would renounce the name of Christ
But one by one they chose to die
The Son of God, they would not deny
Like a great angelic choir sings
I can almost hear their voices ring
    Chorus:
Now the years have come and the years have gone
But the cause of Jesus still goes on
And now our time has come to count the cost
To reject this world to embrace the Cross
And one by one let us live our lives
For the One who died to give us life
Till the trumpet sounds on the final day
Let us proudly stand and boldly say
    Chorus:
To the Lamb of God who bore my pain
Who took my place, Who wore my shame
I will seek to honour His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

  • HOLD ON, HELP IS ON THE WAY
HOLD ON, HELP IS ON THE WAY
Have you ever been stuck with no hope in sight? Ever wondered if God heard you cry? Have you wished that God would say something, good or bad and heard nothing? Hagar felt the helplessness of her son dying because there was no water in sight.
The disciples saw the possibility of drowning at sea as the storm was raging.
Mary and Martha watched helplessly as the cold hands of death snatched their brother from them
To Hagar, God showed up as the one who sees, To the disciples, Jesus proved that though asleep at the tail of the vessel, He was still the Lord over the seas and whatever storms it brought
And to Mary, Martha and Lazarus, He showed up as the resurrection and the life.
    My dear friend, God sees your troubles and sorrows and, He has you covered. Know this;
No trouble or hardship, persecution or famine, nakedness or danger, death nor life, angels nor demons, present nor the future, no powers, height, depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    Read; (Genesis 21:9-17, Mark 4:35-41, John 11:25-26, 40)

  • BY THIS TIME TOMORROW
    BY THIS TIME TOMORROW
The situation was dire, the nation was in trouble. Food was scarce and peace was rare. Women suffered as children became food. That was Israel’s situation at a point in time.
A woman went to the king and he acknowledged his helplessness, humbled himself and God was moved. Go tell, ‘by this time tomorrow…’ was the message of deliverance. Guess who doubted, the one who should know, the king’s adviser on economic matters. He knew his onions but forgot the God angle.
Nation in turmoil and on the other side of the camp were lepers in isolation. Rejected folk, nothing to lose, braved the situation. Their finding, was deliverance for the nation.
My friend, which one are you, the woman, the king, the adviser, the enemy or the lepers. All characters in God’s plot. The end of which was turnaround for the nation. 2 Kings 6:24-33 and 7:1-20
One day as the king of Israel was walking along the wall of the city, a woman called to him, “Please help me, my lord the king!”
He answered, “If the LORD doesn’t help you, what can I do? I have neither food from the threshing floor nor wine from the press to give you.” But then the king asked, “What is the matter?”
She replied, “This woman said to me: ‘Come on, let’s eat your son today, then we will eat my son tomorrow.’ 2 Kings 6:26-28
Elisha replied, “Listen to this message from the LORD! This is what the LORD says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, six quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and twelve quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver.”
The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the LORD opened the windows of heaven!”
But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!”
Now there were four men with leprosy sitting at the entrance of the city gates. “Why should we sit here waiting to die?” they asked each other. “We will starve if we stay here, but with the famine in the city, we will starve if we go back there. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway.”2 Kings 7:1-4

  • "I Was Once Blind, Now, I Can See."
“I Was Once Blind, Now, I Can See.
The man was born blind, not because he or his ancestors sinned but just so God’s power could be revealed.
There is a possibility that what you are going through is just a prop, a tool in the masters hand. God may be bragging on you. Remember you are His masterpiece, the master craftsman may just be putting you on display.
It took this long because, the wonder was timed. you are designed to be showcased when your miracle would cause the people to ‘come and see’. When there would be no choice but to bow to your God. When the whole town/nation, your family could talk about it.
Rejoice my friend, this is your time! The miracle is here. You too can now say; ‘I was once blind but now I can see’.
“Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
… “But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!”
“Yes, Lord, I believe!” the man said. And he worshiped Jesus. (John 9:2-3, 25, 38 NLT)

  • Come and See
    The woman at the Well
Belonged to the forbidden race, with the oddest story. No wonder she came when she would be alone. Her pain ran deep. Thirsty and lonely, married five husbands, none filled the void she felt. Now on the sixth man, no need to marry, too much hassle. She looked for in man, what was only possible in God.
The day came and THE man was waiting. Her pain spoke for her, like the porcupine, ready to attack. The man Jesus, gently guided her to the real source of what she lacked.
For once in her life, somebody understood her, was not going to use her and had a promise for a great future.
What’s not to love, she. Ran back to town, to the people she would not face earlier. Now she had the ‘come and see’ word.
My dear, what is your story. Today, may God give you the miracle that will make a witness out of you.
    Study John 4
    Note:
“Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see him.
Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!” When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days, long enough for many more to hear his message and believe. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.” (John 4:29, 39-42)

  • Praise Him in the Dance
    PRAISE HIM IN THE DANCE
They had seen enough to know that God was on their side. They got paid in arrears for all those years of slaving for the Egyptians. They heard stories of how they got to Egypt in the first place. Only the hand of God could have made it possible. And since the whole story of leaving Egypt for the Promised Land began, they had seen enough wonders to believe without any shadow of a doubt that Jehovah was indeed God.
Their release was the most dramatic; imagine the king that has stubbornly refused their exit for so long thrusting them all out in one night! Unimaginable! But that is the God that had come to be their God. They left with their all; nothing was spared and having gone through so much, they believed the ride would undoubtedly be smooth until they got to the Red Sea.
By then, the Egyptians were in hot pursuit and confronting them was the Red Sea. They must have wondered to no end what it all meant. They had the promise of freedom from God, for crying out loud! They were sure that Pharaoh ordered their release from Egypt. The brief was that they were at liberty to worship their God in the wilderness. Certainly, the sea could not have been part of the deal? But part, it was. God needed to shut Pharaoh up for good and what better way to do it than to let him and all his cohorts perish where there would be no remedy?
For the Israelites, this was a catch 22-situation and how to escape? Only God could determine. He did say something. He told Moses to stretch out his rod, and the result, the sea parted in two. Suddenly there was a pathway, and they could walk on dry ground, with water pillars on both sides. The bond masters followed and perished in the very place that the children of Israel walked through. Amazing! (Exodus 11-15)
You know there is a God who rules in the affairs of men. You have seen His mighty power, you have His promise of a better future. But the problem you are facing has lasted too long. Your parents and their parents suffered same and you wonder how long. Worry no more my friend, you are about to get double for your trouble. The mighty hand of God is stretched out in your favour. Dance my dear, dance, the Lord of hosts is leading you in the battle. Sing beloved sing, the song of victory. Your years of slavery are over, Pharaoh and his armies are about to drown in the sea that was supposed to stop you but has now become your highway.
Shout, my dear shout, your freedom is here! March on, the promised land is just ahead of you
Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD:
“I will sing to the LORD,
    for he has triumphed gloriously;
he has hurled both horse and rider
    into the sea.
    The LORD is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.
This is my God, and I will praise him—
my father’s God, and I will exalt him!
    The LORD is a warrior;
    Yahweh is his name!
    Pharaoh’s chariots and army
he has hurled into the sea.
    The finest of Pharaoh’s officers
are drowned in the Red Sea.
    The deep waters gushed over them;
they sank to the bottom like a stone. Exodus 15:1ff
